When fishing for the common carp always have the bail open when rod is not in hand!!!!!

i was fishing with my friends over the holiday weekend, and i decided carp would be our fish of choice, mainly for the fact there easy to catch put up a hell of a fight and the bait only costs<$1. now my one friend he don’t fish much and doesn’t have his own rod so i let him use my bigger one, it’s easier to use and has a stronger line so he wouldn’t have to worry about breaking the line as much.  well as with most schooling fish after you catch one or two out of the school the rest can get spooked and not bite for a while so there is a waiting period between catches. my buddy got board (he was also pretty stoned) and wandered away from the rod, a rather large fish bites and takes my rod into the river, i run and jump into the river after my $60 rod and i see it feet in font of me sailing away, i missed the rod by inches and have not seen it since… so yah keep them bails open ad you won’t go swimming XD

My Grandpa got me into ocean fishing when I was a kid. My grandparents used to live on a canal in Sunset beach and they had a boat and we would go out all the time fishing. Caught a baby shark one time but we put it back. We would also go camping  a lot up at Independence near Bishop or Kern river. I liked stream fishing the most, always caught rainbow trout and he taught me to gut and clean them. He died about 3 years ago.Miss my grandpa. I still like to go fishing once in awhile but havent in some time. Might have to get back out there.

fishing is my stress relief, i just love being out near the water in a secluded place just relaxing. every chance i get i have a line in the water it gives me time to get my mind right after a stressful day. if i could i would do it for a living, but sadly i can’t.

ME TOO!!! i’m actually growing a couple trees from seed.

Every year during the first free fishing weekend of the summer (no license required anywhere in the state) this bait shop has a big fishing tournament for kids ages 2-15. Since my oldest daughter Lotus just turned 2 last Thursday I signed her up and we broke in her new pink pole. Wow that sounds perverted.. moving right along, the prizes went to the biggest bluegill or sunfish in four age groups, hers being 2-5. I got up at 6 am and went to my new spot and we landed three bluegills and two or three small mouths. It sucked because this was the only day when you DONT want to catch bass over panfish haahahah… but we brought them down and entered them in the contest. I had to leave for a bit and came back and missed the awards but they have my number so I don’t believe Lotus’ fish placed anywhere. But it was fun as hell and they loaded us up with mad new tackle for free and free lunch. There was a raffle too and your boy OMD won a 10′ swimming pool bitch! Great day.

I need to get back on the water. been about a month

Yes indeed. She’s one hell of a unique specimen lol… her sis is named Mia which I didn’t find out until after the fact is that its one of today’s most popular kid names. Shit we met two Mia’s at the park fountain couple weeks back.. there is also a couple that named their daughter Lotus in this city. Juggalos too but they’re not friends really.
