I had never considered a career in rap. I don’t like most of it, and I’m not that musically talented. One thing I’m good at though, is words. I have an incredible concept for an album: a number of people summon the 72 Goetic demons and live to regret it, while the Dark Carnival tries to correct their path. I know just the group to produce the album too. I’ve already contacted them. I’m gonna start writing the lyrics today.
Edit: I contacted the group and they said they’d be happy to do it, they just need, you know, a budget. Problem is, I’m broke. So if anyone has any interest in supporting this endeavor, please contact me.

Maybe we should start small like commercial jingles before jumping into a full fledged rap career. I know some words too, some even rhyme, doesnt mean im any good at writing them…
We have some rappers here, read a bit and get to know some people. Maybe ask their opinions?

You’d need someone like this to do it. He’s the best story teller rapper I am aware of. He does full albums where the whole thing is one continuous story, and this is one song from one of them.

I don’t know. I haven’t heard it yet. I was just offering a rapper who does what you’re proposing at what I consider to be a high level. He’s also a producer and audio engineer who sells his services.

The lyrical content is decent. I’m having trouble imagining what type of beat goes along with it, though. I tried saying over a few different beats and it works better slow than it does fast for me. The syllables and rhyme scheme are a little wonky and 19 bars is a little odd for a verse length. I guess I’ll have to hear it once you make it.

thats not very amazing, even less wicked, and barely qualifies as an idea, given that its been tried about twenty times before, here.

also, somewhere toward the bottom of page one of the how-to-rap manual, it says that you cant demonstrate rap skills by postin a poem.

Ideas are plentiful. If you think it has value, put in the work. Invest in yourself. Asking others to fund your idea with no demonstrable history or skill isn’t the shit.
