ICP Announces upcoming NFT!

The Insane Clown Posse are looking to hop onto the NFT bandwagon but in a pretty unique way.  Now if I knew the value of an NFT or how they worked, I may know how to explain this.

Instead, I’m gonna copy and paste the commercial and some info from ICP’s NFT site.  Here’s the info from the official ICP NFT website.

From InsaneClownPosse.io:

Insane Clown Posse: Deep Vault NFT Collective

The first NFT Song drop from the Platinum selling band ICP. The mint of these songs will be completely random, Your song will be instantly revealed upon purchase. Songs will provide the seller with different rarity of songs and limited exclusive usage for things such as Youtube, TikTok, podcast, etc. There will be only 500 total at a cost of .069 per mint, max 3. 5 will be reserved at .05 for Shaggy 2 Dope Remixx Holders.

For the true collectors, if you were to collect all 5 NFTs. The first 50 will be able to redeem an exclusive Insane Clown Posse hoody. Redeemable through the website. (shipping and handling charges will apply).

And now, peep the commercial:

It looks like some of these things and further explanation will be available on Tuesday, February 22nd.  Until then, keep a lookout on InsaneClownPosse.io for more details!

It is my sincerest hope that one day… somewhere down the line…we’ll be able to look back and say “Hey, remember when companies, bands and the like tried to swindle us into buying digital art that technically we don’t own and further tarnished the environment in new ways? Yeah that was some shit.”

As somebody who is heavily invested into various crypto currencies, I am actually interested in this. I’m personally not a fan of NFTs in general bc pretty much everybody who tries to sell them, do a very poor job of explaining what it is they are selling. 1 day eventually tho somebody will figure out the NFT sweet spot so to speak, but it’s a very new thing that seems to be causing a lot of FOMO.
Like it or not NFTs are here to stay and will eventually become common place, just like crypto itself.
I’d rather see ICP launch a crypto coin, but being as they are artists that produce collectible items, this probably makes more sense for them. I’ll definitely look more into this.

I’m also into crypto, hate nfts, and hate that icp are even associating themselves with this. and can’t not picture them as not even being able to turn on a computer.

Maybe they can use the money to get some real quality production on their next album.
