Juggalos from Lorain, Ohio Lose most of House in Fire, then Robbed.

Alright ninjas…it’s time to get serious for a few minutes.  We got hit up by a long-time Juggalo and FLH reader about some extreme staleness that has been dealt to him and his family.

A couple of weeks ago, Eric and Ashley’s family house caught on fire.  Even though the whole home wasn’t ruined, the spot where they were hiding Xmas presents for the kids was completely destroyed along with many other areas of the house.

That isn’t even the biggest point of staleness.  At some point after the flames were extinguished, a thief went into the house and looted everything of value, including the change in their kids’ piggy banks.  Really low shit.

Here’s the original email that was sent in:

Hey Guys,
I am writing with some bad news. Not only have I recently been laid off, but last Friday night my girlfriend’s house caught on fire. The fire began in her bedroom upstairs and it started right next to where all of the kids’ Christmas gifts were hidden. The cord from a space heater became too hot and started the fire. There weren’t any clothes surrounding the space heater, but the firemen said the cord is just as dangerous as the unit itself so spread the word! Everything she had upstairs is now gone due to the fire, smoke and water damage from the firehose including the majority of my belongings as well. I may not live with her, but I spend most of my time at her house, so slowly but surely the mass majority of things I own were eventually up there. The kids’ clothes (3 kids) were salvaged because the fire never reached downstairs and their dressers were closed so the smoke didn’t reach them. We were eating dinner downstairs never knowing that the up stairs was completely engulfed in flames. Our smoke detectors had died, but luckily we all made it out on time. We are truly blessed for that.

Unfortunately, after all of this, someone took advantage of our tragedy and robbed her home immediately after. They stole EVERYTHING. They stole our tvs (attempted to steal one that melted in the fire), xbox systems, games, dishes, silverware, cups, tupperware, batteries, jar openers, candles, MONEY FROM ALL 3 KIDS’ PIGGY BANKS, kids’ lava lamps/night lights, her daughter’s prescription Zyrtec and her EPIPEN! The Zyrtec is her first line of defense if she has an allergic reaction and if that doesn’t work the epipen saves her daughter’s life. They even stole all of the kids’ and our medicines, babywipes, external hard drives with irreplaceable baby pics, majority of our cooking utensils, her jewelry, her daughter’s play jewelry, coins we collect, clothes, laptops, my Psychopathic and MNE vinyls, They even stole blankets, perfumes, colognes, jewelry given to her by her grandmother, EVEN CHRISTMAS GIFTS THAT BURNED IN THE FIRE!, AC units, tools, and even a full tote of school supplies, kids’ shoes and it’s just sickening to continue on. More than 4 pages front and back. I’d be happy to send you a copy of the police report for a full list. We are even still realizing stuff is gone.

The detectives were able to pull fingerprints from a window and we got the i.p. address of one of the guys because he played my girlfriend’s xbox online and tried to use her credit cards. No arrests as of yet, sadly. I believe it was a guy who ran into the house after we were headed out the night of the fire. He asked if anyone else was inside, I told him no, but he ran into the living room and looked around. I confronted him to leave before the fire would spread and he tried to open a window (after eyeballing around) saying we need to let the smoke out. I told him that would only fuel the fire and to ‘get the fuck out!’ We always keep that window locked, but that window was the way he got in. We never thought to check it after everything had happened with the fire. I gave his description to the detectives so hopefully I can report his arrest to you guys.

We are asking for prayers or any information someone may have in the Lorain, Ohio area. If anyone wishes to reach out and help with anything that’d be wonderful and appreciated. My number is 440-714-4961.  If someone wishes to reach us by email, my email is [email protected] but it will take longer for me to check it because I don’t have a smartphone. My girlfriend and her kids are staying at my house until we figure something out. Her smartphone isn’t all that smart and calls/texts never really go through. If anyone wishes to see the police report, or wants the fire report or even the case number to validate our situation I’d be more than happy to oblige. There is a gofundme that her stepsister started, but we have directed everyone away from it because of the fact gofundme takes a portion of what is donated and we are trying to rebuild not only Christmas, but our lives. Thank you, everyone!

-Eric & Ashley

Also, here are pics of the home:

As of the last email he sent to me, Eric told me that insurance had approved Ashley’s daughter’s epipens and Zyrtec.  So hopefully everything is moving in the right direction.

He’s looking for some family love, so even if you just leave a comment for his family below, that’s the shit.  He left his contact info in the email above too, so feel free to reach out!
