One of the best parts of digging through the underground is those random middle-of-the-night discovery rabbit holes. Last July, I stumbled across Chxin Sxwz completely by chance while scrolling through the similar artists section on Spotify, right around the time he dropped his LUVXX.X3 EP. He was an artist completely off the main radar, but the raw potential was immediately obvious. ​Watching his trajectory since then has been a hell of a ride. He has stayed working, consistently dropping music, and his growth over the last year has been massive. It all culminates in his brand-new full-length project, INTO THE FOREST. If you haven’t heard of him yet, this album is the perfect entry point to see what he’s capable of. This project is a highly experimental, punishing sonic journey that sits heavy on a dark, distorted trap aesthetic. It’s raw, it’s aggressive, and it features a fresh lineup of underground collaborations.
