We are officially under TWO WEEKS away from this year’s Astronomicon in Ypsilanti, Michigan! There have been a ton of announcements up to this point, and that even includes horror icon Linda Blair being booked!
I’m sure most of you who are outside of the Detroit area have already made your travel accommodations. But if you’re within a drivable distance, and still on the fence about going, let’s go through some of these highlights!
EVENTS
First, let’s cover some of the events taking place OUTSIDE of the convention itself! First, if you’re getting into town early, make sure you kick off Astronomicon 9 with Brews with Blaze which will double as an album listening party for The R.O.C‘s new album: No Direction! That all goes down on Friday, April 10th at 3 PM on site at Astro 9! By the way, this event is absolutely FREE!

I’m sure that a ton of you have already pre-ordered your copies of No Direction, but if not, or you’re an avid collector like myself, you can also pick up the Astronomicon Exclusive variant of No Direction all weekend long which includes a free CD single! The R.O.C will be there all weekend to meet you and sign your copies!

Finally, every year there’s a big show that accompanies Astronomicon…and this year is no different! The theme is Twiztid’s Time Warp Show which takes place offsite at The Blind Pig on Saturday, April 11th. This show will also feature performances by The R.O.C, Blaze Ya Dead Homie, ABK, and Insane E!

If that wasn’t enough to get your ass to Astro, let’s talk about some of the dope ass photo ops that are available!
Photo Opportunities
There are so many fresh photo ops that you can purchase including combo ones with Twiztid/Cheech & Chong, Twiztid / Cheech & Chong / Kevin Smith & Jay Mewes, and even Twiztid as Batman & Robin! Those are on top of the other celebrities that we’ve posted about before!

On top of all of that, there are so many super fresh vendors, events and more! This includes Cosplay contests, movie night with Twiztid, and much more!
