Our homie Hex Rated reached out to us with some pretty big news concerning his rap career. He’s been a part of the LSP camp for over 15 years, but actually announced his retirement from rap altogether in the middle of last year.
Now, his hiatus has officially ended as Hex Rated has dusted off the mic and gotten back into the booth! Not only that, but he has started his own label, will be dropping an album with the quickness, and has a bunch of other flavor in store for you going into 2026! Check the official press release from him below.
HEX RATED NEWS
Yo what’s good everyone, hope everyone is enjoying time with family and friends, I’m here today to talk to you about the future of HEX RATED, first off I’d like to thank all my fans and supporters who have rocked with me over the last 18 years, you may remember I announced my retirement about 20 months ago, that was a very emotional decision having just started a business and dealing with some complicated Rap Politics, I’m here today to say that I am officially UNRETIRED and will begin dropping new music in 2026, I’ve already been recording and working with some really dope acts in the Underground!!
Secondly after 15 years I’m officially announcing my Departure from Lyrikal Snuff Productionz (LSP) I had one of the longest runs on the label and after that much time thing’s and situations are bound to occur, I’ve never even held a job anywhere near that long and I’m sure most of you could say the same, during my tenure with the label I shared stages and held it down with the most legendary acts the L has ever had, I signed two months after Insane Poetry who was a guiding presence in my career and my personal life, I rocked with Dark Half, I was there with Mastamind, I partied with Ikkuriz, I saw the rise of Dieabolik, Smallz One stole my charm(if you know you know) I recorded with Scum in a Garage, we tore peoples Face Off, I’m honored to have been a part of the Golden Era of GOREHOP. After 15 years and too many shows to try to count with the team I’ve officially stepped out on my own….
I’ve started my own Label entitled GRINDHOUSE MUSIC, I’ve signed the most Villainous producer in Hip Hop named BLOODBATH and we’ll be releasing my album ODDITY early 2026 (More info TBA soon) New merch store is already up with a few Shirt drops if youd like to support the new project.
Outside of the new label and producer I’m still Hex, same styles and sound you’re used to, just with total artistic freedom to do whatever I want whenever I want.
From now on it’s GRINDHOUSE MUSIC 🏚️🚁
