RIP Young Bleed

The hip-hop world is mourning the loss of Baton Rouge legend and veteran MC Young Bleed (born Glenn Clifton Jr.), who passed away at the age of 51 on Monday, November 3, 2025. His death followed a week in the ICU after he suffered a brain aneurysm shortly after his final public appearance. That appearance was a vibrant performance at the No Limit vs. Cash Money Verzuz battle in Las Vegas on Saturday, October 25, 2025, where he delivered an energetic rendition of his hit “How Ya Do That” alongside the No Limit crew. Young Bleed leaves behind a massive legacy that spanned multiple major eras in hip-hop: he was initially a foundational soldier for No Limit Records, achieving Gold status with his album My Balls and My Word; he later signed with the Strange Music subsidiary Strange Lane Records to release his 2011 album Preserved; and finally, he spent his later career prioritizing independence as the founder and CEO of his own label, Trap Door Entertainment, under which he released his final albums. Our deepest condolences go out to his family, friends, and fans. Rest in Power, Young Bleed.
