“Dirtcore is forever, and a few underground scenes finally recognize that.” Stated legendary artist and producer Crossworm regarding the launch of his group Bodies Below Sea Level, with his Dirtcore Music label mate Samson Samson, of Hampton Virginia.
The horror / industrial-Hip Hop duo fast tracked their progress in late 2023, and flew out to Tucson AZ to shoot with Concept Photographer Katie Cooper of StudioC. Followed by an immediate flight to Grand Rapids, MI to shoot their video with dystopian indie film maker Andy Miller of Orange Cap Pictures.
“We took our time assembling the right people to help us build and launch. What both StudioC and Orange Cap Pictures do with their visuals is creatively batshit. I get so fucking excited working with them and always lose myself in the process”.
Crossworm elaborates, “Loser is one of the first songs for Bodies Below Sea Level that me and Sammy completed. It’s cinematic and visceral. But it’s very dynamic. It goes from ambient and dystopian, to blowing your fuckin face off.”
Bodies Below Sea Level are currently in the studio finishing the last few songs for their self titled release, which will be a dark and hard hitting follow up to both their recent solo albums “Samson Samson – Witch Hunt“, and “Crossworm – Anti“
Dirtcore Music is currently building its new recording studios in both Michigan and Virginia, as well as planning to expand its roster and catalog in 2024.
