I agree w you that Otis did NOT kill lotus. The whole otis bs was wrong time wrong place, but did not kill lotus. Now, agree w me or not, but imo killing lotus falls on twz. They went from “mass murder makes me happy, dead bodies make me happy, but until eternity, I’ll always have juggalo family” to “fuck your march”. I don’t want to get into the whole march debate, or Otis debate, but once that happened the writing was on the wall that the relationship between icp, n twz wasn’t going to be the same again. I firmly believe that if they showed up to march, and then all that Otis shit happened along w him jumping ship, we still would’ve had another lotus album by now. Maybe I’m wrong but that’s how I see it.
And as far as Otis/yw/James Garcia/whatever he goes by now is concerned, I still think he has talent. He has great producer potential and he can spit some bars. But lately I haven’t been feeling his work. That reanimated or reactivated shit was garbage. Yeah some stuff was almost ok but it just didn’t hit w me. And this track right here is gay af. I wish he’d go back to the young wicked mentality focusing on hip hop centered beats. But that’s just me.

Word up. Honestly, I think even if Twiztid did attend the march, there would have been something else a short time later that caused the riff anyway. I’m confident that there would be Lotus now regardless.
I fuck with Otis occasionally. He’s a talent and puts on a great live show.
