ANNOUNCEMENT TIME!!!

“In the Dark Carnival universe, it’s becoming harder and harder to stumble upon any unfamiliar territory. Especially not from an original member of that golden era of Psychopathic’s history. Times change, and entertainment changes with those times. Were you lucky enough to be down from that ground floor? When the original roster was stacking up every cent, in an to attempt to do the impossible. I’m talking touring the globe…to an unaware audience. They did roll the dice, because, well, the Original Class had had that straight-up “diehard” spirit. And this was not only to survive, but to introduce a whole new subculture, to an industry lacking ANYTHING new and exciting.

So what’s up with this sanctimonious spiel already? Well, because somewhere in those earliest chapters of “the house that built the Underground”, an opportunity was missed. While Myzery was the first ever solo artist to be harnessed and presented by the label, his darker side was deemed way too volatile to even attempt to manage.

Try to think back to that slow-build of the super group that we would come to know as “The Psychopathic Rydas”. What started as a whisper at shows, grew into a rumor online, and ultimately the experimental project/gift to the fans, now known throughout the underground as the “Dumpin” LP! It was the forefather of all supergroups ever produced by Psy.

Listening to this project for the first time, felt like this crazy spectrum of musical concepts. It had its satirical collaborative wordplay, lighthearted competitiveness,…and then Twin Gatz. While the other members of the group were amusing and interesting in their new gangster personas, Myzery’s “Twin Gatz” just yanked listeners from their comfortable immersion. This particular gangsta just seemed too authentic and specific to be developed by a label’s think-tank. If a group of listeners, who weren’t hypnotized by the banner of home-team pride, were to be in a listening circle, Gatz was the one who would always win them over. It just felt like you were listening to the memoirs of somebody that just got released from a serious prison stint.

Unfortunately, this was the last group effort Twin Gatz was a part of, as Myzery opted to find his own path at around the time of the group’s debut release. For the fans, that meant, never one single opportunity to see Twin Gatz perform “live”, not once! All other Rydas Alum’s could’ve been checked off of a diehard fans checklist, except this-one-man.

Now, fast forward some 20+ years later, and we finally get that chance! On Sunday 01/30/22 Myzery will be dawning his more hardened persona(?) on stage, and for the very first time in his career.

Now if that doesn’t even seem possible, given the limited material he recorded as part of the group’s collective, just know that Twin Gatz goes far deeper than the group. He’s got 3 more Twin Gatz solo’s to pull from, and those shits were cold enough to make even the most hardened of criminals wanna reform themselves. Not too many “firsts” come around for us fans to lay claim to anymore, especially not from a member of the original roster. You won’t want to sleep on this show Fam, it’s gonna be one for the ages!
