Over at HipHopDX.com, they just posted a pretty fresh story/interview with Twiztid, who give credit to Eminem and Bone Thugs N Harmony for being the most successful “horrorcore” rappers in the game.
Jamie and Paul also show some love to Three 6 Mafia for working with them early in their careers on the track “Just Another Crazy Click”.

Holding down the Midwest for nearly two decades, Twiztid has dropped dozens of projects and continues to be a mainstay in horrorcore Hip Hop. More recently, Jamie Spaniolo and Paul Methric dropped their The Continuous Evilution of Life’s ?’s album and spoke with HipHopDX during their LA tour stop.
During our conversation with the rambunctious duo, the two talked about their status as unknown knowns within Hip Hop and their storied career, which once saw them signed to Insane Clown Posse‘s Psychopathic Records. “We refuse to lose and every other day we find a new way to win,” said Spaniolo.
“I think it challenges us musically to continue to keep going in directions of stuff that we might not normally be comfortable for,” Methric continued. “We always want to raise the bar. That say no attitude, we don’t know about it.”
The Continuous Evilution of Life’s ?’s features the single “Dead And Gone (Unh-Stop)” which DX premiered on the site last month.
Though the two never crossed over into mainstream, there were a few significant moments like their guest appearance on Three 6 Mafia’s When the Smoke Clears: Sixty 6, Sixty 1 album on the track “Just Another Crazy Click” alongside ICP.
“I wanna say at the time, it was pretty cool of them,” Methric said. “They were doing the wicked shit. It was kind of risky of them at the time. More for them 100 percent. We didn’t give a fuck, we were the scumbags. For them to fuck with the scumbags, it was props to Three 6. They’ll always have a special little ventricle in our heart.”
However, Twiztid also discussed how horrorcore artists including Three 6, Bone Thugs-n-Harmony and even Eminem transitioned to more mainstream notoriety.
“I think they found their niche and that’s what it was,” Methric said. They might have started off somewhere. Listen to the first Bone EP Faces of Death and they were on some wicked shit. Next thing you know they’re singing about Uncle Charles. It did take off though because to me, the biggest MC in the world [Eminem] is a wicked rapper. He kicks the wicked shit. It’s just he was created through the mainstream, we were not and what the mainstream doesn’t create, it doesn’t understand. They either take a chance and see what it’s about or they just shun it like they want nothing to do with it. I believe everything they’ve said about them is true and good enough for me.”
Alongside the tour for The Continuous Evilution of Life’s ?’s, the two have much planned this year including a limited edition soda, 11 album releases on their Majik Ninja Entertainment label and annual 4/20 celebration concert.

Let’s see they use ICP’s phrase “The Wicked Shit,” if it was’t for ICP they would never have been able to work with them. They only name DJ Paul, Juicy J and Gangsta Boo totally forgetting Koopsta Knicca, Crunchy Black and Lord Infamous. And like Violent J said in that interview with Scottie D. they always giving ICP little smacks in the face and her is another one. Acting like they don’t owe all that to ICP. I’ve said it before in these comments Twiztid has always been a hit or miss for me since they came out. So I’m not just hating cause I like ICP more, I’m hating cause this is just another example of a miss.

Paul always said Eminem came up to him working at kinkos and em asked if he was in house of krazees they hung out a couple times.
Eminem loved murder murder murder. It influenced him to write his own murder murder song. Then Bonnie and Clyde. I think the story telling imagery grabbed him.
Em is the biggest rapper. It’s crazy cuz he is a product of acid rap wicked shit whatever u call it.
Fans are fanatical over this genre. Cds are like comic book collecting to us. We treasure flyers. Posters. We document moments. I love that about our world.
On a funny note everyone is picking sides. That’s as fact whether u do or don’t. Fact is sides are being taken….we need Eminem to intervene be the man to bring the peace get them to b cool and headline the gathering. Walk the March. Take his throne as wicked shit rapper lol

@BeckonTheCall “The wicked shit” is an Esham term ICP ran with.. they may of said it prior but im pretty sure they started using it a lot more once they signed him.. it’s in the title of both an ’89 & ’94 song..

@The Warlock True That. But I always heard Esham call his style Acid Rap way more than Wicked Shit. ICP, to me, took it and ran with it since it is the perfect way to describe their style. Either way Twiztid are talking about rappers that made it big using the Wicked Shit style and didn’t bother mentioning ICP. TWO PLATINUM SELLING RECORDS FOUR GOLD! WOOOO!Not a single mother fucker hasn’t heard of them. I know there is a beef right now but you still gotta give credit where credit is due.

Much like everyone else, I have my beliefs on what happened between twiztid and psychopathic. Sadly, we’ll probably never know the full truth as it will most likely always be somewhere in-between. I don’t think twiztid meant to “slap ICP in the face” on this one though. However, since ICP wants to act like their innocent in all of this and twiztid is the bad guys, I wish twiztid would come forward and just speak from the heart on psychopathic. If people don’t like it, too bad. I still think one of the reasons twiztid has been hesitant to let it all out is because they have some sort of a gag order for when they left psychopathic. But how much longer can this gag order last?
As for picking sides… I’ll always have love for the hatchet and I have good memories when thinking back to the glory days of the label. BUT, AS A LABEL…. Their new artists are whack. That’s my opinion. I understand some people disagree but there is no way I could support their new roster even if I wanted to. MNE on the other hand has an amazing roster full of talent, even if I’m not big on all of the artists. For example, GMO is not for me BUT I would be foolish to deny his talent.

And I’m one of those that disagrees. Lyte is tight. Blahzay Roze is tight and actually original. She, like Gangsta Boo, picks subjects most chick rappers nowadays don’t. Big HooDoo is the best his character is fuckin fresh and fits into the Dark Carnival. DJ Clay is a bomb ass DJ the Let Em Bleed Series is by far some of the best remixes and song ideas like Shaggy 2 Dope doing Falling Apart.And they are still working with the best producer in my opinion Mike E Clark. If DJ Paul and V-Ice do more shit on Psychopathic than they got it locked down. Magik Ninja on the other hand, not only is it a name straight up origination from ICP’s various songs, but the roster is wack to me. Twiztid are hit or miss ever since The Green Book, some songs are good but some are wack. The entire album of Heart Broken and Homicidal is just garbage worthy. I do agree that Lex the Hex is pretty damn cool, but G-Mo is talented but that’s not all I look for in a rapper. I want fresh shit going on hostility, gory shit, funny shit, originality. He’s just a less angry Hopsin. The new Gorilla Fuckers or whatever the hell their name is suck. Boondox and Blaze are the best artists on the label and where did they come from PSYCHOPATHIC. Don’t get me started on Young Wicked, I always thought he sucked from AMB to his solo he was the worse part of Killjoy Club. Now mind you @iconunderground this is just a friendly disagreement between two Juggalos so don’t take this as me attacking your taste.Just giving my reason why Psychopathic is still on the freshest shit. I agree they were slumping but that’s just cause they weren’t releasing shit consistently and dragging their feet. But now I think they are going to be coming back. And I dunno why people are even bringing up this roster shit any way has Psychopathic ever had more than five artists on Psychopathic at any given time? For real it was ICP, Twiztid, Blaze, ABK, Dark Lotus and Rydas the latter being just super groups of the first three (sometimes ABK) and NO BODY was saying they need new people. Because for Psy. it’s about quality not quantity. Then Boondox came on the scene and he is dope and fit right in. Anyway sorry for ranting, I’m just saying Psychopathic takes risk that MNE just won’t, sometime they work sometimes they don’t, but when it does work you get a magical era like 98-2010 when all these OG artists came together and created the soundtrack to our lives.
