Tech N9ne Interviews With The Cipher and Revolt TV

With the release of his latest album, “The Storm,” Tech N9ne has been in the press a ton lately with a plethora of interviews.

Today, I inform you about two interviews that were recently conducted by The Cipher and Revolt TV.

First up from The Cipher is the following:

Tech is a Kansas City rapper who has started an empire with his label Strange Music. He began his career back in the mid-1990s, landing several record deals with the likes of Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, and Quincy Jones.

But it wasn’t until Tech N9ne let all of that go and started his own label Strange Music in 1999 with his partner Travis O’Guin that things really took off. Tech came back with a new, rock-influenced sound and a sharper creative vision. He spent years touring hard behind it, building a devoted fanbase that sustains him and the label to this day.

Hannah Rad of Revolt TV had the chance to interview Tech N9ne right before “The Storm” was released. Check out her article and video of the interviews below.

The plot of Doctor Strange? A brilliant surgeon gets a new lease on life when a sorcerer takes him under his wing and trains him to defend the world against evil.

The mind behind Strange Music? Tech N9ne, essentially an expert operator of piecing together words and feelings, is also what you might call a sorcerer — a wildly wonderful and wickedly talented out-of-this-world individual who has taken a tribe of equally special artists under his own appendage to defend the world against the mainstream and major labels.

So… basically, the same (save for a $600 million-plus box office for the Benedict Cumberbatch blockbuster).

But let’s not be all even-steveny (although please give N9ne all the millions… he deserves them). While gearing up for the release of his new album, The Storm, Tech dropped by the NYC Revolt space to chop it up and talk about the evolution of his sound, the message behind the music, and keeping his vibes All. The. Way. Strange.
