Rock on the Range Announces 2017 Line-up and More

This just in! Ohio’s most famous music festival has just announced their 2017 line-up! Rock on the Range is located in Columbus, Ohio at Mapfre Stadium. This killer three day rock music festival began in the summer of 2007. Previous performers included ZZ Top, Evanescence, Slipknot and many more.

Each year dedicated goers of the festival often referred to as rangers anticipate who is performing this year. After celebrating their 10th anniversary in 2016 there was some criticism on who should have performed. One big name that was brought up is Metallica. Why weren’t they there for an epic celebration of the festivals existence? Well, you won’t be disappointed this year as Metallica has officially been announced as one of the headliners!

The headliners this year include The Offspring, Korn, Soundgarden and the ever so exciting, Metallica. Other notable performers are Primus, Seether, Chevelle, Bush, Alterbridge, Motionless in White, Attila, Pierce the Veil, Skillet, Gojira, In Flames, Sum 41 and many more. There have been one notable change to the festival this year which has caused some slight controversy. There are no more paper tickets! The festival has announced that it will be mailing unique wristbands that contain a Radio Frequency Identification Chip that will allow quick and easy access to the festival. This band will give everyone access that is unique to their ticket purchase.

The festival starts at 11am each day (that’s almost 12 hours of headbanging music per day). Food, alcohol and of course band merch will be available each day (you know you want another band shirt for your collection). ATM’s are available throughout the grounds as well as a medical tent. Showers are even available (phew).

Even though this festival is six months away it has already sold out on camping packages and weekend field stadium general admission. Better hurry and plan for the greatest festival of the year.

Dope. Already saw Korn and Motionless In White on the Nocturnal Underground Tour with Breaking Benjamin and Silver Snakes. Wish I could make it. I’d mainly go to see Metallica.
