Shortly after our post about Brotha Lynch Hung‘s status on Strange Music, Tech N9ne reached out to Faygoluvers via a mutual friend with his thoughts on the matter.

After being sent screen shots of our original post, Tech N9ne responded with the following via text message:

I have no idea on the status of Lynch on the label since Strangeulation 2 when he could barely say his verses due to a stroke of some sort! I figured it was over back then but my colleagues tell me from time to time that he wants to do another album with us now that his 3 album deal was fulfilled since his last LP! I’m just afraid he’s not able but always rooting for his recovery!

So there definitely doesn’t seem to be any bad blood between the two artists.  It also seems like the offer to put other music out on Strange isn’t completely off the table either as far as Tech is concerned.

Brotha Lynch also got back to me via Facebook and said that he’s new to the Facebook scene, and didn’t intend to put that his stint with Strange Music was over.  He just honestly didn’t know his status with them.  He also said that the stroke that Tech was speaking on wasn’t nearly as serious as Tech thought it was, and that he’s back at 100% now.

It sounds like Strange and Lynch need to have a quick conversation to figure things out.  Whatever the outcome, we’ll make sure to keep you updated on the situation.
