Over the past week or so, some random clowns have been popping up in various places in South Carolina. Though it looks like most have meant no harm, it’s definitely spooking SC residents.
The South Carolina Chief of Police has taken a stand though. Buried somewhere in the depths of obscurity is a law that makes it illegal to wear masks. Chief Ken Miller has vowed to use that law to arrest any of these clowns that are spotted and apprehended.
Chief Miller said the following according to TheState.com:
It’s illegal. It’s dangerous. It’s inappropriate, and it’s creating community concern so it needs to stop.
There are a ton of references and info that can be seen in this article at CopBlock.org.

Sounds like someone watched Devil’s Rejects and got freaked the fuck out by Captain Spaulding. Maybe they watched IT. This seems like one of those little piss ant laws that really aren’t enforced until here recently. Just like here, it’s “illegal to have snowball fights”, but everyone does and they don’t do shit. But sounds like it’s gunna suck for anyone in South Carolina of all ages that will dress up as a clown for Halloween.

By the by… One of these clowns was trying to lure children into the woods.
I am a fan of the Milwaukee clown that walks the streets at night with black balloons myself.
