Earlier today at HipHopDX.com, a story was posted saying that Jarren Benton is leaving Funk Volume to help revamp the No Limit Records brand.
Jarren posted it himself on his Instagram account along with a blinged out No Limit logo.
Jarren said the following along with posting the logo:
We all heard the news about @hopsinson leaving @funkvolume. I’m also venturing out on my own with Master P to revamp No Limit records.#nolimitsoldier
Since then, HipHopDX has reached out to Funk Volume who says that Jarren is still on the roster, and has NOT signed to No Limit. This is right on the heels of Hopsin saying that he will leave Funk Volume if Dame doesn’t step down. You can read our coverage of that story right here.
More details as they develop…

Kevin Bolan: he never ran his own label, he started Funk Volume and as soon as it took off he handed the reins over to Dame.
At the end of the day, when your BOSS (and yeah dame is hop’s boss) tells you your not working hard enough, you knuckle down and get better. you dont throw a temper tantrum like a child and run away.
