Insane Clown Posse’s Traveling Instore Insanity Tour stop in Billings, Montana turned out to be a great experience! I showed up around 5:30 P.M. Mountain Time, thirty minutes before the signing started at 6 p.m.  According to outside Hasting employees, people were starting to line up three hours before the event.  There looked to be over a hundred fans lined up when I arrived.  In line, die-hard Juggalos were laughing together and sang along to their favorite ICP tracks. Some even participated in Faygo showers near their vehicles.  Everyone was pretty peaceful and got along just fine.  No one was turned away, harmed or arrested.  Curious outsiders that were passing by to shop at nearby stores kept stopping and asking why everyone was gathered around Hastings.  When finding out the answer, some even decided to jump in line to attend the signing, even though they weren’t familiar with the wicked clowns.  Some fans who showed up didn’t even know Insane Clown Posse were signing and jumped up and down in joy upon finding out.

It took me over an hour to get inside with my siblings and a few of my friends. Only ten people were allowed in at a time. The clowns completely took over the entire store, while DJ Clay blasted Psychopathic music and scratched records right in the open, smack dab in the middle of Hastings.  There were two separate lines, one for just signatures and the other line was for picking up some merchandise before meeting Violent J and Shaggy. To get inside and meet the wicked clowns, fans had to purchase The Marvelous Missing Link and received a wristband to attend the event. The wristbands had to be left on at all times. Be warned, there will be police at your event! So if you want an actual hatchet signed, discuss it with your local police and whatever record store in your area that’s holding the event first to make sure it’s ok before heading inside.  Hastings in Billings let the few Juggalos who had their very own mini hatchets to get signed inside the event. The two that brought them had them concealed in cloth, not visibly about. If you do bring one, please be safe and smart about it.  Don’t get arrested and have the event shut down! Only one item (of anything the fan desires) per person will be signed, but if you bought the album twice (like I did) and have two wrist bands on both arms, they should let you get two items signed.

Psychopathic Records very own “Chop” smiled and gladly took the pictures of the fans with Insane Clown Posse.  For Juggalos attending in other states, have your camera set up on your phone before handing it to Chop. It makes it easier on everybody and helps the line move quicker.  Violent J and Shaggy were super chill! They shook hands and had small conversation with every fan. They pretty much answered any question asked by Juggalos. Very hilarious responses! For example, my brother-in-law asked what he should name his soon to be born son and Violent J replied with, “The Seventh Son of Ra”.  The clowns did accept gifts too. DJ clay will sign something for you too, but wait till after you meet the clowns and make sure he’s not in the middle of a scratch and then say what up!? After you’re all finished, you will have an opportunity to pre-order The Marvelous Missing Link “Found”.  Have fun and keep safe! Salute to the Insane Clown Posse, wishing them another successful 20 more years! More artists need to do instore signing tours! Seriously, don’t miss this event.  It’s definitely worth your time!
