Update: After all of the controversy surrounding this festival, it has now been “rescheduled” just over two weeks before it was supposed to happen.  The event organizer, Allison Salinas, posted this on the event’s FB Page:

Due to scheduling conflicts, the event is having to be moved to late April. We will post the actual dates asap. To the artists on the bill, Please make arrangements for that month instead. Our apologies but because of a surgery schedule, this event has to be moved. Again,this event is NOT cancelled….just moved.

Artists on the bill and those who have prepaid tickets and VIP passes: I can’t tell you what to do, but I would highly suggest requesting refunds until details are ironed out, and all artists are 100% confirmed.  The dates that they claim the event will be moved to are April 24-26.

Original Post [11:53 AM CST on 2/11/15]This is important, so listen up.  There has been a show circulating for months called the 3rd Annual Anti-Gang Anti-Bullying Music Festival that has had some pretty big names associated with it.  Artists who were slated to be there were DJ Clay, Zug Izland, Caskey, Lil Wyte, JellyRoll, Bailz, and DOZENS of others.  The whole event was supposed to be hosted by Kevin Gill, and the scheduled start date for the 3 day event is on February 27th.

Recently though, many of the artists who were supposedly booked have spoken out about the festival and how they will NOT be appearing there.  Here are a few of those messages:

From JellyRoll’s FB:

I WILL NOT BE AT THIS SHOW! I can not speak on behalf of my brothers @caskey407 @lilwyte or @mikebusey but I personally will not be at this show– I support the cause — I believe bullying and gang violence are serious issues in our community and I would love to help address these issues but the company putting this show together has not sent us any of the information that we needed — We were willing to do this show for free because of what the show is for — we simply asked for more information on her Non Profit that she has yet to provide amongst other things — ONCE AGAIN- I willl not be at this concert UNLESS THIS COMPANY CAN CONTACT US IMMEDIATELY WITH THE INFORMATION WE NEEED! I personally am starting to feel like this is some sort of a scam — honestly

For those of you asking if I’m performing at this event , the answer is NO . I cannot and will not have my name associated with a sketchy and unprofessional company . At first (as most of us thought) everything seemed all smooth and legit but when I have fans leaving comments saying that their being ripped off that’s when things start becoming a problem . And that’s only one of the many reasons not to mention that the venue that was finally booked was JUST BOOKED and we all know that not just a show but a FESTIVAL cannot be booked only 2 weeks in advance . Now don’t get it twisted , I AM ALL FOR THE CAUSE , I think it’s a great cause and I really want to perform for the people who support it and me . It’s So stale that a good thing can’t happen when a lot of people were counting on it .

We are sorry to Announcee that we and DJ Clay will not be performing at the AntiGang/Anti Bullying Festival. We totally supported the Cause and feel it’s a shame it has fell apart at the end and they were really looking forward to performing for the family at this festival and for such a good cause. But when you get lied to and told endless excuses by the Promoter regarding business issues I’d rather not disclose here an Artist has to make a decision that is the best interest of their career.

I have also confirmed with other artists, acts, and emcees that were previously associated with the festival that they are no longer planning to attend.

As of right now, the Facebook event page for the show is live and being frequently updated.  I also called the venue that it’s supposed to be booked at, and they said that it is scheduled, and they are supposed to receive a deposit this week.  I don’t know what’s going on behind the scenes of this, but just wanted to keep you informed about what has been made public.  If we hear any further details, we’ll make sure to keep you updated!
