Late last night, Slaughtercore rapper Bloodshot made an announcement that probably came to a shock to most of his fans.  He has decided that after nearly 20 years in the rap game that it’s time to hang up the mic.  I have had the pleasure of seeing Bloodshot obliterate a few stages in my day, and he brings a crazy amount of energy and really knows how to hype a crowd!  It especially surprised me after he released one of my favorite underground releases of 2014: Alias Grim‘s Decapitated Faces.

Bloody left a message on both his personal and public Facebook pages that says the following:

TODAY IS A VERY SAD DAY FOR ME. ITS TAKEN A LOT OF THOUGHT AND CONSIDERATION TO COME TO THIS CONCLUSION. THIS IS GOING TO SADDEN, ANGER, PISS OFF AND CONFUSE A LOT OF PEOPLE. I’M PUTTING DOWN THE SAW. AFTER BEING IN THE GAME FOR 19 YEARS, ITS VERY HARD FOR ME TO DO THIS. I’VE HAD TONS OF FUN AND HOPEFULLY IMPACTED A LOTTA LIVES. I’VE BEEN DOING MUSIC FOR MORE THEN HALF MY LIFE. IN THIS TIME PERIOD I’VE NEGLECTED THE PEOPLE THAT MEAN THE MOST TO ME, MY FAMILY AND RELATIVES. IN THE PAST FIVE YEARS I’VE SEEN MY FOLKS 3 TIMES. I HAVE 10 SIBLINGS AND HAVE SEEN four OF THEM. BETWEEN HAVING A DAUGHTER NOW, MY JOB AND OTHER THINGS, I’M COMPLETELY BURNT OUT. I NEVER THOUGHT I’D LOSE PASSION FOR MAKING HORROR MUSIC, BUT UNFORTUNATELY THE CLOCK STOPPED. IM VERY SORRY. ILL CONTINUE TO KEEP THE DEMON VS. ZOMBIIES TOUR AFLOAT BUT AFTER THAT, IM CLOCKING OUT. ANYONE WITH MY NUMBER, FEEL FREE TO GET AT ME. I CARE ABOUT ALL MY PEOPLE AND FANS THAT HAVE SUPPORTED ME THROUGH THIS JOURNEY. I CAN’T REPAY YOU ENOUGH. THIS ISN’T A HIATUS STATUS. I WILL NOT BE RETURNING. I LOVE YOU ALL AND APPRECIATE YOUR UNDERSTANDING. A NEW DREAM LIES AHEAD OF ME, AND THAT’S TO RAISE MY FAMILY AND VISIT MY BLOOD RELATIVES WHO I’VE NEGLECTED THESE PAST YEARS. ONCE AGAIN, I AM SORRY.

While he leaves a grip of great underground horrorcrunk behind us, he STILL has one final tour that he will be going out on called the Demons Vs Zombies Tour.  Look for him to come through a town near you over the next several weeks.
