A new interview with Dizzy Wright popped up over at HipHopDX.com today. They discuss a plethora of topics, including Dizzy’s personal life, his origins and introduction to Hopsin and Funk Volume, and of course his being featured on the cover for this year’s XXL Freshman Class. He also ends by stating that after he is finished up with the “Fight to Unite Tour” with the Kottonmouth Kings (which just ended yesterday), he plans to put out a new mixtape. There is no set date for that yet, he said “when the music is done, I’m just going to drop that shit.” The article is a good read, and gives a very detailed look into Dizzy Wright’s life.

When asked about being one of the 2013 XXL Freshman Class:
“I told my friends in 2010 that 2013 was going to be my year…They like, ‘Woah, you really called that shit.'”
When asked about his differences in musical style:
“I feel like all music is Hip Hop, and you can have those kinds of sounds to be in every place that you want to be.”
When asked about joining Funk Volume:
“When I got with Funk Volume, they told me to get busy…they pretty much threw my ass in the studio and was like, ‘Little motherfucker, you better come out with that shit you been coming out with'”

personally i quite like him. honestly i dont know why.
his type of music is the stuff i generally avoid. but nah, i like to relax to his music.
im keen to see what he does this year.
