In case any of you missed it, just a little over an hour ago ARTISTdirect premiered the new single off Big B‘s upcoming album ‘Fool’s Gold.’ The track, titled “Here Comes the Lightning,” is pretty catchy, but what makes it so special is this was the first time Big B was able to work with pop star and long-time friend P!nk. Although she doesn’t sing at all during the song, P!nk fans will certainly feel her heavy influence in the wiriting style and sound (yes, when I was younger I copped her ‘Mizundastood’ album, haha). Also teaming up with them on the track is producer Butch Walker, who’s worked with industry icons from Weezer to Katy Perry.

Here’s what Big B told ARTISTdirect about the single:

“P!nk is a good friend of mine and we always wanted to do something together…It was a cool mesh, my writing style with theirs and the song we created together turned out to be one of my favorite songs on the record.”

The album ‘Fool’s Gold‘ will be released on July 9th, but for now you can peep the “Here Comes the Lightning” single below:
