There are collabs with Slightly StoopidThe Dirty HeadsNOFX, and even has a track cowritten by PINK!  What we’ve got for you in this post though is a new sound to Big B‘s classic anthem: “Hooligan”!  It’s got more of a feel-good vibe to it than the original, so we’ll see if you’re diggin’ the new flavor. Here’s the press release where you can take a listen:

Big B Releases Re-Recorded Version Of His Classic Track “Hooligan” Online For Fans To Celebrate The Release Of New Album “Fool’s Gold”

Big B recently finished up the recording of his new studio album “Fool Gold” with producer Jim Perkins and like previous albums it will be the next evolution in the Las Vegas heavyweight’s sound. While in the studio, Big B took his fan favorite track “Hooligan”, from his now classic 2005 debut “High Class White Trash”, and re-recorded it with a modern day twist. The track can be heard online:

“Me and Jim Perkins didn’t set out to do a remix of ‘Hooligan’, we were just in the studio between tracks and started jamming. It sounded so dope we decided to record it. One of the luxuries of playing with a band and not just rapping over beats. We mixed the old with the new on this one. Hope you like it,” said Big B. “My new record ‘Fool’s Gold’ is my growing up album and a goodbye to what I used to be. Everything must change and I’m happy to have evolved musically into to someone I’m proud of. All I ever wanted is to make good music and not just try to push a gimmick. I think I’m doing that.”

Big B’s new album is scheduled to be released later this summer via Suburban Noize Records and will feature guest appearances by Slightly Stoopid, The Dirty Heads, as well as members of legendary punk outfits NOFX and Pennywise. The songs on “Fool’s Gold” are just as contagious as Big B’s thuggish charm as he pours his heart out onto the album. With the entire music industry focused on finding the next huge star via reality television, Big B has taken a back-to-basics approach on “Fool’s Gold” and filled it with fun spirited songs that can fit into any music lover’s playlist. The album is rich is musical diversity and is cleverly inventive, as Big B seamlessly bridges the gap between rock, hip-hop, and alternative.

Big B’s new single “Here Comes The Lightning” was co-written by Pink and Butch Walker and is set to impact Active Rock Radio in the coming weeks. Big B talks about his new single in a new video blog posted online at:

That’s whats up, awesome to see Big B still continuing to give it 110%!! Been a fan since I saw his video on the DVD Extra that came with Fire It Up. Love listening to projects when the true musician within breaks through and the strength of the effort really resonates, so definitely looking forward to this.

Whoever wrote that SubNoize press for him needs to be fired or taught how to proof read bad. After a while it started to read as if a tech support operator from India (or somebody that speaks similar sounding broken english) was narrating the upcoming Fool’s Gold release to me.

    Much Love!
