The homie Lil Wyte has been getting quite a bit of air play in and around the Memphis, Tennessee area! Props to him for that! The track is called “M.E.M.P.H.I.S.” from 2012’s Still Doubted LP, and it describes how rough the streets are there. Props to him for that new exposure! With this new attention though, the local news media has picked up on it, and says that the song shines a negative light on the city. Check the track out and see for yourselves:

While the city may be violent, the question is with whether or not Lil Wyte should be glorifying it. That’s not our call to make, but you can peep the news story right here if you’re interested in what they have to say:
