Slaine Releases Video Teaser For New Album “The Boston Project”
***Catch Slaine In The Movie “Killing Them Softly” Starring Brad Pitt & James Gandolfini
Known for spitting his grimy rhymes as a member of rap super group La Coka Nostra, rapper Slaine has returned proudly waving the flag for the Boston hip-hop scene with the release of his sophomore album, “The Boston Project”. The album is not only an ode to the city of Boston, but also an opportunity for Slaine to pay tribute to the music scene that spawned him. The album is expected to surface in March of 2013 via Suburban Noize/Commonwealth Records. Slaine has released an audio teaser for the album online:

“This album is my way of giving a little bit back to the city that I love and that has given so much to me over the years,” says Slaine. “When most people think of Boston, hip-hop usually isn’t the first thing that comes to mind, but the level of talent that is coming out of this city is insane. I wanted to create a record that highlights what this city has to offer musically and show how diverse the talent is. This record embodies something much larger than just a Slaine record.”
To aid him in his creative endeavor Slaine enlisted the help of some of the city’s top talents to work with him on “The Boston Project”. Slaine worked with Boston based producer Lu Balz to put the album together and collaborated with Beantown alumni Termanology, Reks, Esoteric, Ed O.G., Smoke Bulga, Lou Armstrong, Jaysaun, Millyz and many others. “The Boston Project” is an audio snapshot of life on the streets of Boston where Slaine grew up.
Fans can catch Slaine in the movie “Killing The Softly” starring alongside Brad Pitt (Seven, Fight Club), James Gandolfini (Sopranos) and Ray Liotta (Goodfellas).
