Prevail of Swollen Members creates his own seasonal beer!

Here’s something that’s a little bit out there.  We just received a press release from Suburban Noize Records about a new project that Swollen Members member Prevail has launched.  This actually has nothing to do with music at all either.  It’s a new brew of seasonal beer that will be available in select bars in and around Vancouver. What’s the name of the beer? “Prev Ale” of course!  Part of the proceeds will go to different charitable organizations, but to find out more about the brew, the charities, and how to get your hands on it, check the press release below:

SWOLLEN MEMBERS’ PREVAIL PARTNERS WITH RED TRUCK BEER TO CREATE ‘PREV ALE’; PROCEEDS FROM ‘PREV ALE’ BEER GO TOWARDS SUPPORTING CANCER PATIENT’S EXPENSES

Prevail from Canadian hip-hop legends Swollen Members has partnered with Vancouver based Red Truck Beer to create a new seasonal beer called ‘Prev Ale’. The beer will be sold in select bars across the greater Vancouver area and a portion of the sales will be donated to various local charitable organizations in the community.

“I am extremely pleased to announce the launch of a cross collaborative beer project with The Red Truck Beer Company called, ‘Prev Ale’! Together we have decided to work on a seasonal beer in which a portion of the proceeds will go to a charitable cause in our community,” commented Prevail.  “Compelled by her story, we are helping to raise funds to help cancer patient Chelsea Steyns to help offset some of her expenses.  Only three months after giving birth to her second set of twins, Chelsea was diagnosed with brain cancer but has refused to give up the fight.  In league with a host of other fund raising efforts, Red Truck and myself humbly offer the ‘Prev Ale’ as a way to give back and bring our community together in hopes of helping Chelsea and her family this holiday season.  In order to reach our fundraising goal, the great guys from Red Truck and myself will be pouring the product at a select number of venues in Vancouver.  The money raised from sales and tips will all be put towards helping out Chelsea and her family.  We look forward to seeing you and thank you for your support.”
