Geto Boys Announce Two Texas Shows, More Coming

One of Hip Hop’s most significant groups announces some rare shows and offers fans a chance to see the Texas Rap pioneers.

Pioneering Houston, Texas Hip Hop group the Geto Boys have announced several dates posted to their burgeoning End Of The World Tour. The group’s most famous lineup of Scarface, Willie D and Bushwick Bill presently has two dates announced – December 21 at San Antonio, Texas and January 26, 2013 in Austin, Texas at Emo’s East.

“The shows that we’re doing are really fan appreciation styled, said Willie D G.B. member in a statement. It’s unfortunate that we’ve performed less than 10 shows together in the past 10 years. Since we’re only doing select dates and won’t be playing abroad any time soon, the live streaming will give our fans around the world a deserved opportunity to experience what it’s like to witness G.B. in real time action.” Earlier this year, the group appeared at the Insane Clown Posse’s Gathering Of The Juggalos for a full set.

Additionally, Willie asked fans to use the hashtag #GetoBoysInMyCity to request the trio to perform in the coming months.

Personally, I would love to see Geto Boys signed to Psychopathic Records. That would be beyond epic!

So what makes them “juggalo O.G.’s”… I know they are an influence on ICP and have done songs with twiztid and the klowns… but they clearly aren’t ninjas… they just influenced ninjas…

I consider them juggalo. Like you said, they influenced a lot of juggalo acts, Esham, ICP, Twiztid, Three 6 Mafia, Lil’ Wyte & KMK. They helped pave the way, & they have worked in the juggalo world many times. Bushwick Bill being in the Psypher 4, Geto Boys preforming together for the first time in almost a decade at the Gathering with the face paint, Scarface & Bushwick preforming as solo acts at past Gatherings, the collaborations, the remakes of there songs from ICP, ABK & KMK, being sampled in Esham & Three 6 songs, & like I said, there influence. Plus a lot of juggalos & juggalettes I have met are Geto Boys fans, I know I am, I can’t speak for everyone though. I don’t think an artist or act has to be signed to Psychopathic to be considered juggalo acts, look at KMK, Hed PE & Tech N9ne for example., Sure, they all appeal to other audiences other then just juggalos, but they are steal considered juggalo.
