Tech dropped a new CD this year before he embarked on the Strange Noize Tour with road-mates; KMK, Hed (PE), The Subnoize Souljahs, Blaze ya Dead Homie, and The R.O.C., this compilation was called Misery Loves Kompany. This album caught an essence of the underground that almost mainstream, but isn’t because the industry’s a bunch of punks and the fans support a real musicians talent. Still riding the waves of the Strange Noize Tour Tech did the only thing that he knows how to do better than rip the studio down wall-by-wall, tour. This tour of course would be called “The Misery Loves Kompany Tour”, why would it be any different?

At this stop in Cleveland it was just like every other show almost, sit through local acts, most of which are bunk. Then local “juggalo” act R.I.A. hits the stage to promote their newest CD “Destruction” doing the same set as always only with a few new songs from their new shit. They aren’t that bad, the only thing that I don’t like about them is that if you go see any act in Cleveland that they open for their set is almost the same every time.

Once R.I.A. assassinated the eardrums of the crowd dwelling in front of the stage it was time for the Humboldt County Certified official Dank Alumni, POTLUCK. 1Ton and Underrated never cease to amaze. The set was getting so live at one point that they had to slow the music down themselves to slow the crowd down from squishing the lovely ladies in the crowd. Once again they brought with them the news about the Cannabis Cartel, for those who couldn’t catch the Potluck solo tour. If you don’t know, this group is the biggest marijuana collaboration on one CD this side of alpha centaury. Just sit back and think about this real quick: Kottonmouth Kings, Potluck and Cypress Hill all on album together banging out hits ’bout bong rips and fat spliffs. Tell me if that’s not the shit or what?

Once the cloud of weed smoke flew out the back door from Potluck dipping out to load this shit up it was time for the Dog Faced Gods. These guys are your typical metal group, to me at least. I don’t enjoy metal much at all, but there are those you out there who can’t seem to get enough of it. These dudes are from Southern Cali. and came to the stage Thursday night with the intentions of doing one thing, rocking their set. Unfortunately there were Juggalos in the crowd***(not unfortunate Juggalos were there, but unfortunate this band would do this)***, so what these guys did was take that energy and start “Woop Woop” chants every song like half-way through or so.

Finally time for Tech. This guy can rock a crowd like someone with Parkinson’s disease would rock a baby. He blew the lid off of Peabody’s and the top of the melons to those in attendance. His set combined tracks from MLK and other sets from shows past to the right extent to get the honeys naught and the fellas rowdy. Now aside from Tech N9ne tearing the walls down brick by brick, Big Krizz Kalico was able to rip a song from his long anticipated album “Vitaligo” which is finally done slated for release mid April. If you haven’t seen Tech N9ne get out and do it, the guy is always on tour, if he’s not on his own he’s with other people kickin like donkeys and swingin like monkeys!
