Pakelika Tribute Show pics and review!

As you probably know from our numerous posts, the Pakelika Memorial Benefit Show was held this past Thursday, September 12th in Hollywood, CA.  Not only did all of the performers scheduled show up and rock the house, but several other musicians and celebrities came to show their respect of Pakelika, and support of his family.  Altogether, they raised over $2,000 for the Ohio State Asthma Center.  You can read about who showed up, a statement from Pak’s mother, and how you can donate to the Asthma fund in the press relese below:

Pakelika Memorial In Hollywood With Big B, Saint Dog & Potluck Helps To Raise More Than $2,000.00 For Ohio State Asthma Center In Honor Of The Visual Assassin

The second annual Pakelika memorial show was held last Thursday in Hollywood, CA at the legendary Whisky A Go Go in Hollywood, CA to celebrate the life of Patrick Wesley Cochrun, a.k.a Pakelika. The show featured performances by Big B, Potluck, DGAF, Johnny Richter, Middle Class Casualties, Kali Connect, and (Hed)p.e’s DJ Product, who all came together to honor the one year anniversary of the passing of Pakelika The Visual Assassin. Also in attendance to pay their respects to Pakelika was DJ Muggs of Cypress Hill, Mellow Man Ace, comedian Nick Swardson, and Kid of Kid N Play. All the proceeds from the evening were donated to the Ohio State Asthma Center and the event helped raise more than $2,017.00 towards medical research, education, training, and patient care for those suffering from asthma.

“The benefit was a wonderful time! Much love to all the fans, performers, SRH, Suburban Noize crew and Whiskey A Go Go staff who made it a great night to remember Pak,” commented Patrick’s mother Julie Miner. “Pak truly loved all of his fans and he tried to connect with as many as he could. I loved talking with all the fans and  sharing stories about Pakelika, because that is what Patrick loved doing. Thank you all for your generosity!”

Anyone who could not be present at the show last week, but still wishes to make a donation to the Ohio State Asthma Center in memory of Pakelika can do so online at http://smarturl.it/PakelikaMemorialFund.

Not only do we have that, but we were provided with over 2 dozen pictures from the show!  There are some great group photos of everyone who showed up to perform including PotluckBig BTaxman, and more!  Check out the full gallery from the Pak tribute here:

That’s cool that so many dope artists attended and showed respect. Pakelika was the shit. The Kings live show suffered a crippling blow with his departure. I know he’s kickin it in Shangri La!
