So I was pretty stoked to read the front page of FLH to see Zug Izland finally coming back with a new album, and it’s apparently going to be 4 discs! Awesome. However, it’s not going to be released on Psychopathic, for whatever reason. Zug will apparently put out “Promise Land” via their own label.
A little disappointed that Psy has yet again seemingly dropped the ball with another artist, causing said artist to go elsewhere. But I’m excited about some new Zug Izland coming out!

I was so bummed hearing this news.
I’m glad that they’re releasing the shit… Really wish it was out on Psy.
When I interviewed Syn last year he said they were putting it on on Psy at the Gathering (2015 Gathering).

Who the fuck wants a call from Syn or Mike P. The best “package” is the lifetime VIP…When the fuck was the last Zug Izland show not at a gathering? Thats probably the show that “has restrictions” haha.

Did enjoy their first album back in the day. Had a couple good tracks on it and the other tracks and other album they released, I do not know, just could not get into them at all, but then again, they are not for everyone

I thought ZI’s cover of Golden Earring’s “Twilight Zone”, was the standout track on Nebula. It really is a good song. In my opinion, ZI did it better.

Syn says Promised Land is intended to have three parts, then he wants to release another full-length album afterwards.

I got weird looks when I uttered many years back that I felt “Always” by Zug was more about Joe Bruce’s respect and bond with Joey Utsler.
I just learned from an internetter that on the “Behind the Paint” audio book, J reveals that it is in actuality about his brother, Rob Bruce.
Interesting stuff. It’s not a love song, it’s a song about appreciation for a brother.
