I thought of wearing masks. But really, just do what ever the fuck you want. It’s your art, your sound, your image, you do what the fuck you want because regardless of how fresh or how original or how new or how what ever, no matter what you do there will always be those assholes who are going to shit on it and find some petty condescending twist on what you do.

In the end, if YOU don’t feel what you are doing it isn’t going to be as good. You don’t need permission to add a mask to your image. Let your personality or your music or both tell you whether or not to wear a mask, or whether or not to paint your face or whether or not to do what ever.

wearing an airbrushed, cheap, hockey mask, 4 an hour or 2, while you try 2 rap, would suck! it might work 4 the back up dancers?

C-lim does dope work. Back when he was the only one doing them they were cheap as hell. One of my boys has an old school vamp from 3 or 4 years ago. It’s still in near perfect condition and he has worn it a good hundred times. They come sealed so no worries of them chipping. Now I guess he does custom fittings too which is pretty awesome. But his prices have tripled. 

Masks are cool if you have a persona to wear them with. And if that mask fits the persona. Like hollywood undead. Their stage names all have something in common with their masks. They also have some kind of cooling technology in their masks. So i’m sure that’s something you can look into too if you want to stay cool and comfortable. 

Thats cool i would see this topic because i have inadvertantly encountered the same issue recently. I will admit my group kinda has gimmick that would require masks, but i dont want the masks to ruin our sound. I agree Corey does pull it off but he has a pretty fancy mask, and i all i can afford is a cheap piece of crap haha. Plus rapping and singing are two entirely different things but then again MF Doom is a badass too.Its hard to say

Sorry i cant really give you any good advice but I guess if you do decide to use a mask let me know how it turns out for sure because i definitely feel you on this delimma

Maybe somebody should start making masks just for this purpose. That might be a money makin idea right there. i really like gasmasks for some reason. i wish i could find out a way to rap through a gasmask but it just doesnt seem logical
