Not mad just facepalming at the utter lack of knowledge on here. Dudette at the top said his mind and I quote “was blown”. Now if that blows your mind then a Rza, Pete Rock, ?uestlove, 4th Disciple, DJ Premier, even Necro, The Beatnuts, Prince Paul and so many more would put you in a coma. Me mad nope just embarrassed somebody said escam over The Wu-Tang Clan… the sheer stupidity in what was a terrible terrible I guess it was an opinion.

So you never had your mind blown when you found out something was sampled by one of your favorite artists? Never heard something from a movie or something and thought, “that's where he got it from!!!”.

Warlock said that after the fact. Either way, you stated that your irritation is because somebody was blown away when finding out an artist sampled a particular song. So something did make you mad, even though I still find that reason to be bullshit because I bet that if it were a thread on an artist you actually liked you wouldn't be so hostile.

He wasn’t an asshole at all, he was actually a nice guy. Then again, I didn’t tell him he couldn’t have half my sandwich either. If I slapped his hand while he was reaching for my chips like my instincts told me to do, who knows? He didn’t seem like an asshole, he was actually really nice, conversational. Do you think i’d send an asshole spare change and encourage others to do the same?

@Lucem Ferre, no

I'm just saying, the way you tell that story Esham sounds like that fat kid who asks if he can have a bite of something and ends up eating half of it.

Yes sir, Hoops was the shit!!! They were mad cool to us, I went there every night when The Gathering shut down until they closed. On the last night some ninja gave them a Gathering poster and all the Juggalos and staff signed it. I always wonder if it’s still there, they hung it up on the wall the last night.

Never had my blown by something like that. I had somebody teach me about it when I was younger. After listening to something I'd peep the booklette if something caught my ear. Something like this sheer stupidity you didn't know cause well now you can look up a sample in anything. And be like ahh it's the theme song or it's Marvin Gaye, The Charmels, Kool G Rap, Elvis. If you're a musician and that blew your mind Give Up trying to be an artist.

Lucem, I’m just telling you what he did. At the time I thought it was cool, don’t get me wrong. How many people can say they shared a sandwich with Esham? Warlock would kill for that opportunity. Looking back on it, shit was sad. And he was far from fat, dude was just hungry. I understand, I’ve been there. Glad I could help you out E, you self made millionaire you

It's not the fact that they sampled something that blows your mind, it's when you hear something and think “wait a second”. It's not like it's watching two black holes collide mind blowing it's sort of like a little surprise that you get over with in a few seconds. Plus, a lot of artists don't credit everything they sample.

The Wu-Tang in general are better than Tupac. Gza & Deck Ghost & Rae yea fucking wack. Meth & Dirt Rza & U-God. Masta Killa& Cappadonna. Tupac is better then them… Your pathetic. One of the most overrated & generic artist that warlock brings into any conversation Tupac so many artist have done what he's done before and after and did everything better. Same with Biggie only Biggie better than pac.

Did he have that fat kid look in his eyes or that starving homeless dog look in his eyes like one of those sad puppies from those abused pet commercials?

Bullshit it's a little surprise. If you're surprised by that and you're an artist or producer. Just quit now and save yourself the time of being made a joke of.

Yes, because the level of surprise you get when you notice something being sampled in a particular song you listen to also dictates the measure of musical talent you may have as either a rapper or a producer.

Maybe his opinions and pieces of advice might have some kind of validity if he actually made music himself.

No no, it says that somewhere in the instruction guide “How to make music for dummies”.

It is a producers job to dissect a beat and see what's been used or what can be used. As for an artist who also produces their own work it's the same thing. When you sample a beat from someone do you just do one listen or hundreds? If you get surprised by a sample in a song my how the years are going to be terrible for you.
