I dunno. Lex is a tough act to follow, this guy probably would’ve benefited from having the opening verse. Things like that can make a song feel uneven and that’s definitely the vibe I caught here. Not bad for a local guy is a pretty accurate assesment. 

Beatwise I prefer yours, but they’re so different I can’t imagine this track over that beat. I know you probably just wanna get a beat off (no pun intended, that’s how my brain articulated this thought), but I feel like your beat would benefit more from a rapper with more narrative flourish than horrorcorish rando flexing his style. It’s a crowded market and without genuine innovators it’s difficult to capture an audience’s attention. I can’t imagine what it’s like trying to get a rapper’s attention, even a hungry one. Yours is not an enviable position.
