Is nobody here into Non Phixion? If you don’t know them, it’s Ill Bill’s old group from about 10 years ago. If you don’t know Ill Bill, he’s currently a member of La Coka Nostra, who played at the gathering last year. Non Phixion is some of the dopest shit of all time. I defy anyone to listen to “The CIA is trying to kill me” and not have their wig blown into tiny pieces.

The reunion tour is only going down in Canada!!
I just bought my tickets to the April 30th Toronto show.
Baller Status just put up an article yesterday announcing the tour-
Non Phixion Announces 20th Anniversary Reunion Tour
Underground rap legends, Non Phixion, announced this week that they are reuniting for a Canadian tour run, in celebration of their 20th anniversary.
The tour — which will be the first time they’ve been together in nearly a decade — will kick off on April 21 in Vancouver, and then make stops in Winnipeg, Toronto and Montreal, with the final date on May 2nd in Ottawa.
Non Phixion member DJ Eclipse tells us the group is planning to continue their 20th anniversary year with performances at upcoming European summer festivals (to be announced) and a European tour later this fall, as well as a run through Australia.
“Some” U.S. dates could happen, but the DJ says, there’s no concrete plans yet.
“It felt great to see the guys at our NYC surprise set we did this past Halloween,” Eclipse tells us. “Prior to that, it had been almost 10 years since the four of us were in the same room. All of us are looking forward to getting on the road and picking up where we left off.”
He also told us that Non Phixion have discussed the idea of recording new music, but plan to hit the road together first before making any plans.

April 23 – Calgary, AB @ Dickens Pub
April 24 – Edmonton, AB @ Draft Bar & Grill
April 25 – Saskatoon, SK @ O’Brian’s Event Centre
April 26 – Winnipeg, MB @ Union Sound Hall
April 30 – Toronto, ON @ The Rockpile
May 1 – Montreal, QC @ Newspeak
May 2 – Ottawa, ON @ Ritual

Yeah, WTF with the Canada only tour? OTOH, considering they’re talking about festival dates after the tour, seems like there’s a decent chance they could play the Gathering…

Ill Bill loves Canada.
La Coka Nostra had a legendary sold out tour up here a few years back, with Swollen Members as their openers.
That tour pulled in almost a half a million bucks in 3 weeks.
Slaine calls the Toronto show on that tour his all time favorite.

meh, ill bill is really scummy in person. When I got to interview the artists at strangenoize tour, he was the only one who didnt want anything to do with me. he threatened to stop the show and come at me if he saw me filming him perform. it was funny because while tech and KMK, the headliners were cool as heck, the opening act was acting like a primidonna

There’s a shit ton of openers for the show tonight in Toronto.
Non Phixion won’t be hitting the stage until around 11:30pm.
Plenty of time before the show to drink Budweiser from my own fridge, and blaze large!

Gore definitely had the coolest fan interaction of the 3 members, last Thursday night.
He was yellin out “Necro on the beat!” before a lot of the songs, which was fresh.
He also told a cool story about having the magician David Blaine up in the recording studio when Non Phixion was putting their shit down back in the day. Apparently there is a secret code about that on one of Non Phixion’s vinyl.

David Blaines name is on the original Legacy 12″ from memory. Gore thought he was a sourcerer.
