Blue dream always gets me going. I don't live anywhere with med or rec tho so the slanger could be lying. I've been smoking less though because it makes me an even more lazy unmotivated fuck than I already am. Weed connosieurs, are there any strains that are actually supposed to help you feel motivated and energized?
Tangerine Dream will do just that, without getting you too stoned. Another strain, which has been my favorite over the past year or two is Girl Scout Cookies.

blue dream is a hybrid...indica and sativa mix...great strain. Sativa will make you more motivated and energized...Im smoking on Jack Herer (sativa) this week and its very uplifting....any kind og kush or purple is usually indica unless noted as hybrid....but purple can be a sativa.
highly recommend Jack Herer if you can find it...other great sativas: Sour Diesel, Green Crack, Lemon Haze, Super silver haze, strawberry cough,durban poison, grapefruit,power plant, cat piss..
had some cat piss from Humboldt once and really smells like cat piss....weird but stoney as fuck.
some info on purple:

We used to sell it. I remember how funny it was explaining to little old ladies what the strain name was. Then when we have stuff like Jesus OG or OG Sin, religious peeps get annoyed. A couple people even get offended at the super popular Green Crack. The ratio of religious nuts that smok cannabis is alarmingly high.

Lots of people dig Blue Dream. It is the most popular strain in Colorado. I, however, dislike it. I get into a thought-loop that certain Haze strains like that seem to give me. It's not just sativas that do this, as I love diesel strains.
Some strains to get you going are indeed Green Crack (a very social strain, chatty), Strawberry Cough (a unique mix that is both anti-anxiety and appetite suppressing), Sour Diesel, NYC Diesel, most any diesel I think, Chemmy Jones, Sour Maui, Flo, Durban Poison, Super Sour Lemon, Island Sweet Skunk, Biodiesel, Sueno Azul, White Fire OG, Golden Goat, Glowing Goat... I could go on all day.

I like Blue Dream, but I don't think it's that great. I grew up smoking Bubba Kush, and Green Crack. Green Crack is some good shit. But my favorite is definitely Durban Poison.

Girls Scouts is a hybrid, usually like 50/50 down the middle between Indica and Sativa. I have had it where there were bluish and violet tints, to plain ol green. Both tasted excellent and we're phenomenal. I like it for its uplifting mood capabilities. Like, it can make a person feel optimistic.. and every strain will be different based of who is growing it, curing, storage, nutrients, etc. Like some Blue Dreams run more Sativa, 3 out of 4 times, but occasionally there are Indica ones.
