What up Ninjas!
Hey I just wanted to hit you all up on getting your tracks Mastered. Not really in this forum but just across the board and over the years I’ve always heard people say “yeah but it’s not mastered” And some people don’t really know what mastering truly even is. I found a really cool thread I believe from @scruffy called “Production School” that was great Scruffy! And a lot of awesome information is in the thread. Anyway, I understand that most of us are recording in our bedrooms (Me too) however, if you have the correct tools and know what you’re doing you don’t need to spend a TON of cash going to one of those big dumb ass studios. You just need to understand how to mix properly and then after the proper mix it can go to the mastering stage. So, what I can offer is my mastering services to you all, because I see and hear some really good talent on these forums and I’d just like to take your music to the next level. I know it can be kind of embarrassing letting people hearing your music when it’s a bad mix, volume of the track is really low, trust me I’ve been there!!! So anyone interested, I’ll master one of your best songs that you’d like to get mastered for free. If you like what you hear we can work together and go from there. If you don’t, no hard feelings. So what do you have to lose….right? After the free one my price is $40 per track. Of course if it’s a EP (6 or 7 songs) or even a LP we can work out a deal, I’m a nice dude and easy to work with.
P.S. I can and will post pictures of my home studio, like I said I’ve been doing this for ever and learned from the best! I use Pro Tools 7 and Master with Iztopes Ozone 5 and also a ton of other VST plug-ins and hardware. Keep in mind, when submitting tracks PLEASE take your track volume down by 3-5 db’s to give me some headroom to work with! Hit me up if this offer sound good to you. there are tons of big professional studios that will master a track for $20 or cheaper
just google it – email them the track and they will usually do a one minute sample to see if you like it
the price is cut in half if it’s a full album

@sketchez you do know that those “online mastering” companies don’t really listen to your music right?? All those REALLY nice studio pictures those websites steal off the internet and make you think that there’s some dude working day and night trying to mix YOUR track to perfection!! haha yeah right, those sites are garbage homie…No hard feelings, I’m just sayin Fam. All they do is push your track through a pre-set settings process and BOOM….there’s your “Mastered Track”. The track my be a litter louder but the dynamics are still the exact same. THATS WHY ITS $20!!!!!!! Real mastering is CRAZY expensive!!!!

I’ve gotten samples back from atleast 12 different ones ..they sound very professional
I do mastering myself and a lot of them sound better than what I could do
I do work in a few studios and also have one at my house

‘real’ mastering is unnecessary, most of the time. i wouldnt even consider payin for the crazy expensive shit unless i was certain that id be pressing a full run to cd. or tryin to get on radio or tv or sumn.
and, as with sketchez, a lot of it i can do myself. not as well as he can, im sure, but well enough for any scrub purposes.
no pun intended… i mean, ya know, any other scrub. with one b.
ah, youll figure it out.

@demonicswagger can you please send me just your vocals too. It would make the track that much more cleaner too, i see you need a lot of mixing with your vocals..

If possible, not sure how many times you stacked your vocals with just the verses. But if you could send them separately so i can do some vocal matching within pro tools. It could use it…Actually just send me 2 different takes of finished vocals AND adlibs and I can work with that.

I sent all stem files…everything has been separated and I mean everything. you should be able to just import the files into protools and everything should be where they are needed. I think there may be over 58 tracks or so. each drum is separated for easier mixing and what not. Let me know if you have any problems.
