pretty good. lot of quotable wisdom in there. i like his take on the industry, its to the point.
i need to get some kool keith. all i got now is half a dozen tracks scattered over as many mixtapes, which i havent listened to in years.
ive always considered him one of the greats. but the more i see or hear about him, the more i think i should be an active fan.
particularly after catching him live at the gathering.
awfully paranoid, arent you?

Keith is the best.some highlights :
Dr. octagon first album
Ultramagnetic MC’s tracks.. one includes a beat made by Keith that would become Dr Dres “California Love” beat

The Cenobites with Ice T
YouTube of him meeting Zack De La Rocha at an airport
YouTube – 98 Year old refrigerator (watch this now, trust me its classic)
Hot 97 freestyle with Xzibit.. so hilarious
Tracks with Esham, specifically “yes yes y’all”

joe cocker. california love is a direct sample of ‘woman to woman’. the ultramagnetic song[s], im not sure if its a sample, or an interpolation. sounds like the latter.
the refrigerator bit… yeah, he knows.

Some say Keiths the inventor of horrorcore rap. I don’t know how I feel about that. I kinda don’t think so but Keith is a legend in the game. You should touch up on some of his discography Scruff. He’s the shit. First time I ever heard of Keith was playing some video game that included Blue Flowers in the soundtrack.

Dope little history of Keith for sure.Glad you started this thread Ganja, you’ve inspired me to a write a better-late-than-never review of the Kool Keith show I caught here in Toronto a little over a month ago. The show was awesome and hilarious for several reasons, took a lot of photos, I’ll get to writing that bitch later on tonight and post it up on here![]()
