The Pick, The Sickle and The Shovel is okay but pales in comparison to the first. Plus it seems like they slipped too much 5%ers stuff… there was anuther album too and it was just two of the rappers but it was pretty good. I have the Frukwan solo but never really listened to it.
Bear witness, as I exorcise my exorcism!

Always been one of my favorite albums. 6 feet deep that is….
BUt years after I got a bigger dick, I went back to the Pick, Sickle, and the Shovel album, and it’s fucking highly underrated. Before Natas, …….Before Jedi Mind Tricks,……..these niggas were on top of that shit.
It’s equal with the first, and talks about diggin up the mentally dead before the 5th Joker’s Card. RZA is a mad genius for this one.

The Production on both albums were great. The Beats were simple and felt like a live band could do it easily. That’s what I really like about these beats on both albums was the organicness of them. They were basically like just loops and only a few instruments so the words would shine more than the beat. I try to recreate this wen I produce.

RZA is still the master of the minimalist style.

it’s a shame they never blew up. i partially blame RZA for not thinking of putting either Method Man, GZA ODB, Raekwon or Ghostface on any songs. ANY one of these guys. On one fucking song. I know RZA probably wanted to make it his own group and not a Wu Tang knockoff but seriously how can you not throw on ANY other established Wu member at the time? Priest would grow into his own but wasn’t on the map at the time. Meth would’ve been perfect for that shit. I feel the same way for the Flatlinerz…how could Russell and his Def Jam dumbass execs not think about throwing on Redman on a Flatlinerz song? You think he can’t drop a sickass verse on Riverz of Red? The name of the song and the sample of a Redman song fits perfectly. I wish I had a fucking time machine and I’d have put horrorcore on the map.
FLASH TO 1995 yo Violent J, here’s a copy of 3 6 mafia Mystic Styles, you gotta call these guys to collab.
FLASH TO 1995 Esham…here’s a tape and phone number for Brotha Lynch Hung. He just dropped an album with a song about baby killing and devil worshipping, you guys would work perfectly together. Watch out for his brother Sicx…..
FLASH TO 1997?? Hey, Violent J, I know you’re mad at this kid Eminem for putting your name on his flyer at St Andrews Hall but give him the time of day, he might evolve into a pretty good rapper.
FLASH TO 2000 Yo big lurch, put them drugs down and just smoke some weed tonight. Aight? Thanks.
and i’d tell Staplez to never retire from rapping. Bedlam likes fries.
