How do you feel about new artist’s coming on forum sights like this advertising their music to gain exposure? I know there are some people that don’t mind because they want to hear new music from new artists. But if you have a problem with artists’ advertising on forums tell me what do you think is the correct way for an artist to go about advertising him self?

I think a forum post is fine, a sure fire for me to not check something out is a Facebook message, post on my wall, tweet, direct twitter message, email etc with no hello or back story or anything. Just a link and a generic ‘check my new shit, fam!’ message, I delete that shit straight away and make a point not to check for the artist.

The residents of the state of Hawaii consume the most Spam per capita in the United States. Hawaiian Burger King restaurants began serving Spam in 2007 to compete with the local McDonald’s chains.[15][16] In Hawaii, Spam is so popular it is sometimes referred to as “The Hawaiian Steak”.[17] One popular Spam dish in Hawaii is Spam musubi, where cooked Spam is combined with rice and nori seaweed and classified as onigiri.[18]
- Spam Classic – original flavor[8]
- Spam Hot & Spicy – with Tabasco flavor[8]
- Spam Jalapeño
- Spam Black Pepper[9]
- Spam Less Sodium – “25% less sodium”[8]
- Spam Lite – “33% fewer calories, 25% less sodium, and 50% less fat” – made from pork shoulder meat, ham, and mechanically separated chicken[8]
- Spam Oven Roasted Turkey[8]
- Spam Hickory Smoke flavor[8]
- Spam Spread – “if you’re a spreader, not a slicer … just like Spam Classic, but in a spreadable form”[8]
- Spam with Bacon[8]
- Spam with Cheese[8]
- Spam Garlic
- popular beliefs are that the name is an abbreviation of “special processed american meat” or “shoulders of pork and ham”

I thought you were talking about the spambots that wanna sell handbags and nikon cameras. I dont know if anyone ever noticed but every once in awhile ill be on some 3am stoner shit and reply to them talking crazy shit. Strictly for my own amusement of course, the mods are pretty quick to catch em.
On topic I say advertise all you want, just in the right section. Who are we to tell anyone not to promote themselves?

Just trying to see how you guys feel about the topic. Because I am an artist who is trying to get exposure but at the same time I am not trying to annoy my potential fans by going about it in the wrong way.

why only warlock? In your opinion why does warlock only have the opportunity to advertise and not other artists?

I think it was invented to feed soldiers and Hawaii eats alot cus the lack of local meat
George A. Hormel was born in Buffalo, New York in 1860. He worked in the Chicago slaughterhouses before becoming a buyer for wool and hides. He traveled while looking for suitable wares and decided to move to Austin, Minnesota. There, he borrowed $500 (≈ $15,000 in 2009 USD) and opened a meat business in 1891. His new eponymous company was located in an old creamery building. He continued to sell wool, hides, eggs, and poultry while trying to get established.
By year’s end George’s 14-year-old baby brother was helping with the business and they employed six. In 1893 they began using refrigerator cars to help move slaughtered meat to farther locations. By 1899 George was able to move to full-time management with an eye for increased production. The company incorporated in 1901 with four Hormel brothers on the Board of Directors along with A.L. Eberhart. They registered the name Dairy Brand in 1903 and opened a variety of new distribution centers throughout the decade. They went international in 1905 when they began exporting to England.
In 1937 they introduced a processed meat product. SPAM was originally called Hormel Spiced Ham in 1936 without much success. A naming contest was held and the $100 prize went to actor (and brother of Hormel VP) Kenneth Daigneau. Many backronyms have surfaced from “Shoulder of Pork and Ham” to “Something Posing as Meat,” “Stuff, Pork and Ham,” and “Spare Parts Animal Meat.” According to Hormel’s trademark, the word should be written in all caps and is an adjective so it should be SPAM luncheon meat. However, it is often used as a noun.
SPAM comes in the traditional mystery meat flavor as well as other varieties. Since 1937, over 6 billion cans of SPAM have been sold with 90 million sold yearly in the US alone. There are many ways to serve the food with thousands of recipes available online. Their official website claims SPAM lasts forever in a sealed can – “it’s like meat with a pause button.” SPAM was one of the few meat products excluded from British rationing during World War II. The Ubiquitous meat product was the basis for one of Monty Python’s most memorable skits. And that skit was the basis for our using the term “spam” for unwanted e-mail.
