Well, I didn’t know what topic this would go under, so I’ll just put it in this one. But, anyone know who Fear Factory is? And if so, you guys know Self Bias Resistor from their Demanufacture album. It’s pretty much the only song out of a few that I know by them. But it’s always been up there with my top songs. It’s been there for as long as I remember too. But here, what you guys think?

Fear Factory is cool..When I was in high school I loved that Demanufacture album…their best shit imo…got the privilege of meeting Dino at Mayhem Fest a few years back…cool dude. Obsolete is really dope too…after that they sort of lost me but Mechanize was a really dope come back record…industrialist was meh… I saw some footage of them playing the Gathering one year and burton bell sounded like shit….

Jiffy, it’s good to see Scottie hasn’t deleted your account yet. Guess he hasn’t checked his mail today. You got the right idea though, start some threads while you still can.
I love this album. Was the first Fear Factory album that I had and I got it about 6 months after it came out, something like that. This album is the shit and it always will be, although Self Bias Resistor is one of my least favorite tracks. Pisschrist, H-K (Hunter-Killer), Replica and Demanufacture would be my favorites I guess. Fear Factory’s first 3 albums I really like a lot, after that they just lost whatever it was they had I guess.
Fear Factory actually created the style of metal that so many metal artists copy today, and not nearly as well. The whole heavy vocal/clean chorus style was first done by them. Then Machine Head picked it up and did okay with it, then really nobody worth mentioning until well over a decade later. Now the style is done to death and I hate how it just won’t go away. Still love the old Fear Factory shit though.

Fear Factory is great stuff, but gotta be in the mood for it. “New Breed” is awesome off Demanufacture. The first one i heard was the Obsolete album. Classic.
They had some unreleased in the states album extras i found for download years back. One is called “Where Evil Dwells” i think, and it is one of the heaviest songs id ever heard.
It starts with “LONG..LIVE..THE NEW..FLESH!!” Then it fucking shatters every sound barrier.

I think that song is one of the bonus tracks on the one I have. It is a pretty brutal track if it’s the one I’m thinking of.
