If you have an iPhone you can download an app called take from propellerhead software to record with over your phone. It works pretty easily

I don’t got a IPhone but I have planned on researching and looking for a real recording setup, had a kid I know kind of run me through it one time and said its pretty cheap to get a decent setup

Yeah for $200 you can get some decent shit. Presonus has pretty decent digital audio interfaces for a fair price. Blue has some good mics for fair prices as well.
