Ya’ll wanna get in on some of the things i think about when i have nothing to think about?

Ok, so im standing around at work, can barely hear the radio, kid beside me whistling a tune of something playing in his head, and i start to zone out.

What if Tom Hanks movie career was his actual life?

A young kid makes a wish, turns old, works at a toy store, becomes young again. Marries Shelly Long, buys a delapidated house, she leaves and comes back. He gets married to Helen Hunt, gets lost on an island with a volley ball, finds his way home. Becomes gay and contracts AIDS, and dies. He then becomes an austronaut and almost dies again. Unwavered from planes and austronautisms, he becomes the first guy to safely land a plane in the new york harbor with a long drawn out court hearing. I think hes done with planes now so he decides to buy a boat where he gets hijacked by pirates. Done with boating and flying he decides to run cross country, marrys Jenny and has a son Forrest. All while having the time and energy to do voice over for all 52 toy story stories.

Edit: not a trippy movie but it could be.

I watched Alice in Wonderland the other day. Never seen it before guess it came out in 51.

That was a trippy movie… there was a caterpillar deadass smoking a hookah getting ripped.

I’d been telling brothers about this movie for a couple months and on Friday I found it on bluray for a dollar at Dollar Tree. (It was the only thing on bluray they had for sale even.) Worth the watch.

It’s based on a book which has a movie adaptation and both the song and the movie are fucking amazing

Both the song and the film are fucking great

There were a lot of trippy surreal 70s films, but I feel like this is one of the only ones I can think of where the bizzarness really fits the plot.

He can barely tell when he’s awake and when he’s dreaming, he’s being filled with drugs and can’t move, it wouldn’t make sense if it WASN’T like that, and it makes us feel for him even more. The ending is just fucking haunting,

It’s just a fantastic film.

Jan Svankmajor is one of the best creatives and film makers ever for weird shit

He did a movie version of FAUST same style as this Alice movie and loads of short stop motion films. The guy eating his own head is wicked too.

He’s pretty well known here in UK in the art / drug scene.

Also if you like his stuff you’ll like THE BROTHERS QUAY (the Quay Brothers) short films they’re all mad trippy and creepy like Svankmajor’s stuff and influenced the work on all those Tool videos in the 90s. Not sure where to find full movies but here’s a bit:
