yeah man liked it, critics hate comedys, fuckin asses can keep their best picture movies which usually suck
Yeah dude right on. I even like weird art movies if they’re done right, but the majority of “critical favorites” are just pretentious trash. Example: “The Social Network”. Critics called that shit like the equivalent of Christ’s testicles, but I watched the entire thing and damn… I just don’t get why its so “astounding”. Its like wine drinkers: most buy it for STATUS, not taste satisfaction. Makes ya feel classy lol.
Humor is so subjective too. It even depends on mood, your company, your subconscious. You may not see the genius humor of a Cheech & Chong flick until you view it with certain peeps. Same with Ace Ventura, Spaceballs, The Big Lebowski. Rant over… for now bwahaha

I forget who to attribute this to, but someone once said ” a critic is someone who knows how to get there, but can’t drive the car”. I tend to only consider them for games myself. Look at a bunch of reviews and kinda gauge it from there.
Personally I hated the new hangover. The first one set a REALLY high bar so that might play into it. I only chuckled maybe twice in this one where in the first one I was geeking out

*edit* The Big Lebowski is one of my all time favorite movies. I didn’t really find it special the first time around, but after a couple views I was sold. Nobody can hate on “the dude” and goodman is fucking genius in that movie

I understand that. One of the problems with part three was that characters like Goodman’s were underused. He didn’t get a chance to show much of his take on the character. But overall I enjoyed how the loose ends were tied up. There was even great cinematography with the Mexican villa and that nightscape view of Vegas. Plus the great placement of both versions of “Hurt” was cool as hell.
