I really want to see this movie, the original Evil Dead is one of my favorite movies ever. I honestly don’t know why they’re doing it, the old one still stands out to this day. I honestly don’t think they’ll fuck it up…….I hope

The comedy aspect is part of why I loved it in the first place.I will reiterate in that the movie doesn't need to be redone. It is a masterpiece by itself. I hope they do it justice man…Here is to hoping

I like the fact that the new elm street actually made Freddy scary again. The new dude that played Freddy couldn't replace Robert Englund but he comes close. Not a bad performance. One thing I didn't like about the original Elm Streets was that the later movies made Freddy less and less scary, he became too much of a joke. Watch Freddy's Dead the final nightmare and tell me that you can take that movie seriously. So I liked that they tried to make him scary again.

The Friday the 13th remake wasn't that bad. Basically just a typical Jason movie.

The new Halloween movies were fresh as fuck. Not the same as the old ones but I think they were pretty fucking dope.

Majority of these are movies aren't really remakes but more like re imaginings. I like re imaginings, they keep the shit fresh. Just don't put any ridiculous bullshit in it that ruins key parts of the story like making Ninja Turtles come from Outer Space.

Alot of people hated the rob zombie halloween remakes, but I loved them myself. To me he humanized the michael myers character. Plus I liken his scripts to tarantino as far as his dialogue goes. He is a character driven writer and the plot is just subterfuge to him. Which if you think about it plot has never been a strong point for horror movies….It's all about the death scenes

Exactly why I say the new Friday is just basically the same shit. It's not really a plot driven story from what I can remember. I used to love the gore aspect of horror movies much more when I was younger, now I prefer a movie with more story to it. If it happens to have a good story as well as really gory scenes that just makes it even better. I personally think that horror movies have gotten better since there is more story telling going on. Trick R' Treat is a great example of that.

I really hated the CGI effects in the new Elm Street though. It was awful. I mean, now days CGI looks pretty damn real, but the CGI in Elm Street looked like complete shit and stood out. The wall scene was really fucked up. What made the wall scene great was how slow and creepy it was. The new one he comes out and makes a quick swipe if I remember right. The older movie's wall scene looks much realer than the newer movies as well.
