I’m sitting here at the Alrosa in Columbus, Ohio for a boondox and abk show. And it makes me miss the gathering so much. I’ve been to three local shows since the gathering and every one of them has been a disappointment in family atmosphere.
The gathering needs to be here already.
I miss being surrounded by so much love and family. The gathering was the best thing to ever happen lol.

I would love to go to the Gathering. But sadly, in the position I’m in, can’t at the moment. But, if you were at the Bang! Pow! Boom! Tour concert in Columbus, you would’ve see me there.

and yes, the family atmosphere is way subdued at the shows, when compared to the gathering…
but ya gotta remember, the family atmosphere basicly didnt exist before the gatherings.
thats why i think some of the old schoolers complain as they do, about the difference between then and now. ‘back in the day it was more ruthless blah blah blah.’
you know, the cats that went to shows and beat each other up because they wanted to feel exclusive, like they are the only ones allowed to dig icp. these guys dont generally go to gatherings. most of em either got with the times, or just gave it up completely.
and of course, if we are talkin about boondox and abk… well, then, theres that, too.

And the Gathering was cool. I miss it. I think this coming Gathering may be my last but I’ve always said that. I always end up going 3 weeks ahead of time looking for some half dollars in the couch. So much positivity and happiness at the Gathering.
