ulterior motive: obviously, this also serves to let me know who not to expect to see. ive noted quite a few [already too many], im just idly wondering who all isnt gonna attend.

I have no one to watch my daughter (that I would trust) so I will not be in attendance. I hope you all get the meetup going, some year soon I would love to do something like that. I’ve seen people organizing things like that back during the days of the old GOTJ Board and the JN Forum but I’m not sure how often they actually came together. I’m rooting for you.

I simply don’t have tha funds. however it would be tha shit. ive been to other multi-day festivals and always have a good time. is tha gathering worth it? what I mean is, are tha people cool?

I have a 1 year old daughter now, and another on the way. We have an extremely small family and like Guest said, very very few that we would trust to watch her. My wife even said I could go solo or with chums, but I first if all want to save as much of my work earnings as possible for our eventual departure out west. The GOTJ would def set us back a hefty hefty cinch sack of a chunk of dough…. also, I wouldn’t want to be away from my daughter and wife that long. Will I ever return? Only crime I mean time will tell…
Plus the GOTJ isn’t a good place for babies. It reminds me of a funny occurrence at 2003 or 2004, we were chilling in the field, awaiting the next performers or whatever. I don’t remember but the evening had the feel of the last night ur so, everybody just relaxing and pre-contemplating their experiences. Knuckleheads shootin hoops nearby. Some honky talkin shit to anyone who enjoyed Vanilla Ice’s set (“like you guys are like cheering for the guy who was like in TMNT 2 The Secret of the like Ooze!!”) . My brother appeared from god knows where to chill by this fence with us, orange haired and in a white FUCK OFF! tee. We let our eyes wander from the clouds… to the juggalos… to one of Tech N9ne’s road team bitches, topless and rolling her endorphins out (my wife snapped a great photo, still got it)… she gave us a Strange Music sampler… then we saw it…
A very learned, proper Asian couple. Middle aged almost, looking like the epitome of a happy, healthy doctor~lawyer couple. They were just kneeling there over their baby, smiling as they changed it’s diaper right there on the field. Completely comfortable and oblivious to any of the insane GOTJ happenings. It was so strangely beautiful and poignant.

Its just not in my cards as much as it pains me. My money will be better spent finishing college, and my girl has a lot of bills coming up that would prevent her from going. She like OMDs lady said it was all buenos (shes peruvian) to go with some homies, but we roll as 2 peas in a motherfucking pod. Id be glum every time I saw something cool, cuz we’ve done 3 years of GOTJs together, and I don’t really wanna do it without her as cheesy as it sounds.

Wasn’t let into the states. Tried twice in the past two weeks and no dice. My friend that tried to go with me wasn’t let in either. I know I said I’d sneak across but i am a little busy right now and that would be risky if I end up getting arrested for anything there. Fuck it, I’ll have a better plan next year and won’t be as busy anyways. Have fun, whoever goes!

I am stationed in Germany with the Army. This will be my third in a row missed after a 5 year attendance streak. Can’t wait to be back in the states so I can start another streak.

if I went to the gathering I would go to drug bridge and spend the meager amount of money I have all on heroin cuz im a heroin addict, then get my food from the scrub care unit, and then id do this move id always wanted to do, id come out when lil wyte comes on and id step up to the foot of the mosh pit shoot up right fuckin there in front of everyone then itd make me go ballistic on all the pussy asses tryin to fuckin mosh….yea that’s my dream thatd b the fuckin shit and it could come true at the gathering….

I didn’t want to go at first. since the gathering started ive been telling myself every year “im gonna go next year” until I realized I will probably never make it, due to shit always coming up. now im married with kids, and no time or budget to make it. but seeing how hype everyone is, I can say im a little jealous. yes I know I shouldn’t let kids hold me back, but I haven’t gone anywhere without my kids since they were born, and would hate to start now. have fun everyone! don’t be dumb

Same deal that I posted in 2013. Only difference is now I have two daughters and a lot more cash saved. We will be leaving out west in a coupl months. If we weren’t, we’d be there for our tenth anniversary since we have enjoyed a GOTJ. HAVE FUN BITCHASSES!!!!!
