also I’m a city boy, I don’t camp or have gear.  I also need my sleep or I get in a realfucking nasty mood.  So I got a motel 5 miles from the site.  The problem I don’t plan on being in any condition to drive and I imagine 5-0 will be up people’s asses.  So, are people cool enough thar they’d let you crash in their campsite for a few hours to sober up?  Or can you get a cab to come there? I wouldn’t want to do that everyday but it would be good to have as a last result.

I would get there earlier. This way have time to think of a “legitimate” excuses of why you need to call out of work. By the time your there and in the thick of it why would you want to leave. Thats like watching the first 2/3rds of a movie a just saying fuckkit. You just HAVE to see how its gonna end. Unless you can’t call out then I dunno maybe come on the back end. 

As far as the local law on the roads, I drive from the grounds to my motel off I 79 anywhere from 2-5am most nights and I didn’t see any cops on 70 or 79. Worst case scenario if you got no spot to crash just sleep in your car for a little bit. The parking lot is a very intersting world at 3 in the morning though

ocj_brendan , very good point about just buying a cheap ass tent at Wal-Mart, I’ll probably do just that.  That would also be a good thing to have because I’ve been trying to get @randy-gall to come visit me forever and maybe he’ll really do it if I can offer to let him have my place to himself and I’ll camp out in the park across the street.  Anyways good to know someone else from the region will be there, I’ll be bringing plenty of Old Bay to sprinkle on my joints so hit me up if you run out.
