Not tryna start an argument here but didn’t Big Balla’s sell out pretty fast…its not a cure all there were only so many spots and they sold out pretty quick.
I didn’t know that, if true that sucks. Still if a ninja were really organized they could have bought it the day they came out.
And I guess there was no other way to pay a little extra to beat the line, like VIP Meet and Greet or some shit?

There was a VIP but they had to wait in line too…One of my homies from DC got one so his girl could guaranteed meet ICP. Imagine how pissed he was when he heard Glo and I set our chairs up in a gap between two golf carts we wondered why no one was in-between. The reason was no one wanted to sit between the Duke of the Wicked and the Southwest Strangla… I didn’t say a word to either just gave Shaggs a pound as he rolled out after Ho99o9 which was who they were both watching.

@Chesyr thank you for taking that as the light hearted jab it was and not getting mad. Line sounds like it sucked, but for a gathering vet like yourself and many others, sunscreen umbrellas lawn chairs etc should have been a no brainer long line or no

The reason is there are a finite number of electrical/water hookups…Once they’re gone they’re gone they can’t exactly run more lines for any reasonable cost (Im thinking water wise moreso)

Again, there was NO WAY of knowing we were staring down a SEVEN HOUR wait!
I had a hat on. I had a bottle of liquid that WASN’T beer. I was ready for a wait. But NOT SEVEN HOURS! That is just beyond.
Even the people that HAD brought coolers, ran out of shit long before they got to the trailer. Usually due to some combination of drinking their drinks themselves or selling them to others.
I know all this preparing stuff you guys are talking about but…. again…. there was no way for one to fully prepare for…”That Line”!

I got in line at 11:00pm Wednesday, and had my stuff at 3:50am. It sucked, and would have been excruciating had it been in full sun. There’s no reason why they couldn’t have split it off into one line for purchasing tickets, and one line for picking up the amulets and books. This was just never an issue at Hogrock. The one time that I went with someone who needed to purchase a ticket, she just walked right up and purchased one. Then as we drove/walked in, the tickets were scanned and we were handed a bag. It just wasn’t a big deal. I don’t understand how it is so much harder at Legend Valley.
A bunch of people in line near me were talking about submitting Better Business Bureau complaints on Psy over the line. And I heard the same thing the following day from people who missed part of main stage because they were in line. There’s really nothing the BBB can do, but it would stand as a public, formal complaint to let them know that they fucked up.

I would like to also add my 2 cents.
I got in line Wednesday around 5:50am got out of line about 10:40am. This was my 4th year and this was the worst line.
It was completely unorganized, they ran out of car passes, rv passes etc. They kept telling people to wait by the stairs of the ticket trailer.
To get my program, charm and bracelet took J-webb about 8 minutes, then he started to get my VIP and that took about another 5 minutes.
From where i was in the line, people were just about at their boiling points. Talk of tipping the trailer was a joke mixed with “im being serious” and of course somebody got to their point and through a pretty full bottle of faygo at the ticket trailer missing j-webb by about a foot and a half.
There was no order at all. It was a huge free for all, which from what I’ve seen usually is the case, but man it got out of control this year. I’m hopeful for the two trailers, however if they only have 2 people in one, and 2 in another, will this really solve anything? 3 people gathering the items, putting on bracelets, cutting them and handing the programs and charms to just about 5000+ people is just crazy.
I really hope they have it together next year, even so I will be trying to get their as early as possible next year to atleast try to avoid this clusterfuck.

Mitchell is the motherfucking man. Remember to always bring sunscreen and a hat when you are standing in hell…Oh yeah don’t forget to bring a towel.Edit: Glo and I laughed our asses off as we read that in your voice. You’ve got a grip on shit that is totally unique and fucking awesome. Im glad you found our camp.
Thanks bro, I thought y’all were pretty awesome too. Definitely upgraded my Gathering from awesome to fucking amazing. I’m glad we all have a way to stay in touch here. It’s like the Gathering didn’t have to end.
Back to the line: I don’t understand this argument about not realizing the line was gonna be so long. What does that matter? As if the sun doesn’t apply to the line? Whether the line was 30 minutes or 10 hours, either way you’re about to spend 80 hours in the sun; why wait until you’re on the grounds to put on sunscreen? I would get it if you thought you were going to go indoors after you got your ticket because why would you put on sunscreen if you thought you were only gonna be out for 20 minutes, but you’re going from the beating sun outside in the line to the beating sun outside on the grounds. Short of ICP slathering you in lotion themselves, there’s not much more that can be done. Chalk it up as a lesson to always put on sunscreen when you know you’re going to be outside for a long time. Don’t tell me it was impossible to prepare for because I did it. In fact, I never went ANYWHERE without sunscreen for the whole 4 days. Keep a backpack with essentials in it at all times. Having said that, I’m sincerely sorry that you had a bad time. I would never say “serves you right,” cause I’d rather everyone had a great time.

Each location seems to have its issues; I found the demolition derby at the entrance to Hogrock fun, but I hear it freaked some people out. Guess a smart thing would be to email Psy about your concerns here

and/or bring a decent umbrella to block the sun.

From what I heard it may not be in Thornville at all next year. Apparently J and shags hate the Ohio weather. Too dusty to perform in, and somehow muddy at the same time, I believe was what shaggy said. The staff seemed pretty sure it would be back.. we shall see
I thought I recall hearing a 3 year contract last year.

The reasoning for not doing Ballas this year was that I wanted the Parking Lot Party but this year it was just one big line so there was really no massive party, just a bunch of little ones spread out over a long road. I may just spend the $400 for the Ballas next year even though I won’t be in an RV. We’ll see.
