In terms of comparing it to mainstream rap albums, this is a great album, in terms of comparing it to classic Tech like Anghellic and Absolute Power this falls way short. I know Tech wants all the collabs and recognition and whatnot but doesn’t he realize his shit is WAY better when it’s just him? That’s what made Anghellic so great, I could be wrong but I don’t think there’s a single feature on that album. Well, that and the energy level. I remember first time I heard Einstein and P.R.2K1 I was instantly filled with energy but this new, more mainstream sounding shit just doesn’t have that effect. And I’m not really saying he changed because The Worst and Calm Before the Storm were both more mainstream sounding than Anghellic and Absolute Power. He’s just lost the unique sound that made those albums so great.

I checked out this album because Straight Out The Gate with Serj was awesome.
Too bad it’s the only track on the album I liked other than the track with The Doors…
I felt like I was listening to shitty mainstream music most of the time!
Still it’s good to get 2 good new tracks!

I like it, but I dont like him having all these features. I thought the point of having those 4 Collabo albums was to have all those features and kind of separate them from regular LP’s. Now, they are all pretty much the same. His LP’s and Collabo’s are all covered in features. Tech may as well just call of his albums The Collabo’s.

Eh, I expected so much more from this album. I loved the Straight out the Gate track and Thistles with Danny Brown.

First anghellic originally had 2 features, grant rice on tormented and bakarii/short nitty onthis life. The reissue replaced the latter with fti feat. Kutt,skatt,greed and snug I think.
Also there r only 10 rapping features on something else. The others r on hooks and therefore do not matter
