My favorite is Jonny Valiant.  Rittz is one of the artists who rapped on his own time for close to 20 years before he was given a legitimate chance, and just exploded onto the scene with an absolute gem of an album.  After the intro, it kicks off with "My Interview" which gives you the crash course on who he is and what he raps about.  I've heard songs where it's trying to do this format, but this is the best one I can think of.  Even the interviewer flows on the beat with her few lines.

He's your stereotypical "coming up from nothing white rapper."  He grew up in a shitty area with a shitty home life and abused drugs to deal with it.  Alcoholic, coke head, pill head, whatever.  This is heavily integrated in his songs.

As far as his rapping, he's basically a one trick pony.  But it's such a good trick that it doesn't matter.  The other 3 albums are also great, but Jonny Valiant takes it for me as it's possibly the best debut I've ever heard.

Top of the Line runs away with it for me. I thought it was his most polished.

Between “Jonny valiant” and “top of the line”. Although all 4 of his strange albums are fantastic.

On a side note, sometimes I get the feeling that in the next 3-5 years rittz will be found dead in a hotel room due to some sort of overdose. The guy kind of seems like a mess when he tours

I saw him live once, and he said on stage that he pops Xanny bars before or during nearly every show, and I would imagine he also does it just to do it when he's not touring.

He's visibly fucked up in the "Still I Rise" video.  He looks like he can barely move his mouth.
